My husband and my aunt and uncle stayed here for two nights after traveling from York. Dorothy was very pleasant and accommodating. The rooms were surprisingly large as we had an en suite bathroom. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms very clean. Turn in your breakfast orders at night for Dorothy to cook a lovely meal in the morning! The four... More

We stayed here during our time in Edinburgh. It's in a good location, close to the bus stops to get into town, and not too far for dining. Dorothy was very friendly and served an excellent breakfast in the morning. I would stay here again

This was my first experience with a UK B&B, and it couldn't have been a better beginning! After landing at 6am from the US, we decided to simply drive to the Kenvie in order to "get our feet wet" with the area. Dorothy offered a gracious welcome and so very kindly told us they'd ready our room in 30 minutes!... More

Our room was large and the bathroom was large also. The room and bathroom were very clean. We had a beautiful view of Arthur's Seat from our window. The breakfasts were very good. Dorothy went out of her way taking messages from my friend from Glasgow. We were close to bus service to travel to Edinburgh but we were close... More

We were at the Kenvie House for five days and enjoyed it very much. Dorothy couldn't have been any nicer and accommodating for us. She made sure we knew how to catch the bus and which ones would take us where we needed to go. She caught us a taxi on our last day to get to the airport and... More

This is a comfortable, pleasant, and well-maintained house. The B&B is one flight of steps up from the ground level. Some rooms are up a further flight of steps. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, had adequate space, and were very comfortable for use. Sleeping was delightful in this quiet neighborhood. The breakfast room was pleasant and bright. The... Kenvie is one of the best B and B's we've ever stayed in. Great room , great location with the bus stop 50m away ( make sure you get an all day ticket for 3.90GBP). The breakfast is fantastic with a varied menu and cooked to order. The Laird's breakfast is my pick! Dorothy is very helpful and full of... More

The Kenvie was absolutely spotless. We were able to choose what we would like for breakfast from a printed menu given to us the night before. There were many options to choose from. The fresh fruit bowl was both beautiful and tastey. It is a short walk to the bus to the Royal Mile and the Castle. There are good... More

We recently spent 5 nights at Kenvie Guest House. The Scottish breakfast was customizable, day by day, which was a nice touch. Dorothy waited for us on our arrival day (rather past the time she posts as the latest check-in time) and was unfailingly gracious and helpful. The dining room is cozy, which encouraged conversation amongst guests, but with tables... More

Great B&B in quiet area, bus stop 5 minutes walk, Royal Mile in walking distance (about 30 minutes). The room was well furnished, clean, with tea/coffee making facilities, wlan. Excellent full scottish breakfast including fresh fruits and Dorothy was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would choose it again.
