14 Hart Street is the epitome of a perfect bed and breakfast. A wonderful home beautifully decorated with art and antiques, superbly helpful hosts, a HUGE breakfast to start the day, wine, scotch and treats in your room refilled every day, clean linens and towels every day. We were pampered as in no other B&B we have ever visited but... More

Will certainly stay there again when I'm back to Scotland, great Service from James and Angela, perfect breakfast and a extremely confortable room. The wine and whisky tray was a very nice touch. Thank you very much also for the shopping tips James, now I have my own 100% scottish sporran!

14 Hart Street is a great choice for visitors to Edinburgh. The B&B is within walking distance to the city's lower part. The central bus station and a tram stop are a short walk away. Our room was large, comfortable, and elegantly furnished in antiques. Our hosts, James and Angela, were warm, welcoming, and helpful. In our room we found... More

We can only echo previous praise! We stayed here with two friends last weekend whilst visiting Edinburgh for the Tattoo and it is an absolutely perfect and very special place to stay. It is only a 20 minute walk to Princes Street and the Royal Mile but buses to take you there are regularly available just around the corner as... More

We stayed at 14 Hart Street for a couple of days last week in the lead up to the Festival and Fringe. Tucked down a quiet side street in the New Town, it could not be more handy for the tram from the airport and in easy walking distance for all that the city centre has to offer. The bedroom... More

James and Angela greeted us on arrival. They were very helpful and the place had a really homely feel. Our room was great. Really comfy bed, awesome shower, shortbread, wine and whiskey on arrival. Shortbread and drinks were replenished for day 2 as well. The breakfast was fantastic. We had a full Scottish breakfast both mornings with additional toast, jams,... More

Recently visited for a 2 night stay, Angela and James are perfect hosts and can't do enough for you. The rooms are beautifully furnished and ours had a wonderful walk in shower that was powerful and was one that you didn't want to get out of.. The breakfasts are varied and plentiful with a splendid full Scottish that was difficult... More

The brand new airport tram drops you a few quick blocks to 14 Hart Street making this an easy destination. Close to the Royal Mile, but not too close, this is a quiet street. Yet just up the block are a number of local restaurants (James provided some great suggestions). We could pretend that this was our neighborhood and enjoyed... More
