The Bonnington Guest House is full of character and is made particularly welcoming by the hosts who did much to give us the information (and breakfasts) we wanted which made our stay very special indeed. We stayed just one night at Bonnington house, but wish we could have stayed longer. Well apportioned rooms in a fantastic old building. Excellent hospitality. Leith is a beautiful part of Edinburgh, though a bit far (20 mins bus ride) from downtown. Definitely worth a visit. more

Good location for Edinburgh with easy bus routes everywhere, 5 minutes into city ( a £1.20 single trip or £3 day ticket from the bus driver that lets you go all over, but do have the correct money ready as no change is given ). We were slightly disappointed as the room we had was quite small and although the bathroom was beautifully presented it took almost 30 minutes to run enough water for a moderate bath. Superb B&B, the best of this trip without doubt. Hosts were really open and friendly with us, the rooms had welcome books packed with info on where to eat, how to get there, everything you want to know. We really enjoyed our stay at the Bonnington Guest House and I would definitely go back. I have stayed at a few B&Bs in Edinburgh over the years and this one is by far the best that I have stayed in and great value for money too.
