I wanted a single room for the weekend on leisure without spending a fortune. I had requested a latenight checkin,.the room given to me had problems with tv reception & on reporting i was given a newly renovated double room for the same price.I enjoyed my stay thoroughly especially so for the cost of only £28 per night. more

I would like to mention that the staff at this B&B hotel were so kind to help me out of the way when I met a fatal injury on my leg during my recent weekend trip at edinburgh. I am highly greatful to them for good care. The rooms were clean as I was shifted to a larger room only... more

If you're thinking you're booking the Scotsman for £25 a skull then you're clearly mental. This hotel is ronseal.. does exactly what it says on the tin. Staff were friendly, room was average but very large and slept up to 6 people which was ideal for a Stag night. The shower was brand new and amazing! I had 2 of... more

Dear guest, We deeply apologise for the experience that you had during your stay with us, however we would still like to clarify that being a small hotel with one staff manning reception ther e are times when the staff assist guests with something they require in the room and are consequently away from reception for a while, however the...

Sep 15, 2009 | Trip type: Friends getaway

Stayed one night in the Edinburgh House Hotel with 3 friends, located off Leith Walk, which is a good 30-45 mins walk to city centre. Beds were a bit uncomfortable, linen clean, room tired and bathroom needed upgraded. Breakfast is continental, not cooked, which they may well have pointed out before I booked, to be fair, maybe I didn't read... more

Very conveniently situated hotel from city centre, with warm and friendly staff. Even though the building is old, the rooms are comfortable and toilets are clean. The hotel does not allow smoking in rooms but had the convenience of using wi-fi in the rooms for cheap price. By at large, I would say it is a great bargain if you... more
