Our room was top floor with a double bed,a small two drawer bedside chest which kettle and cups sat on.The external shower room was down a massive flite of stairs. The towels were clean,as shower. The bedding was clean, bed too hard.the small window had to be opened all nite as room too hot, then noise of traffic kept us awake. The... More

When booking the 'hotel' it states that the room would have a en suite. However we had to come out of the room and used a communal toilet & shower... The bed sheets had yellow stains on them and the furnishings looked very worn. I didn't expect much, however I was very unhappy about the false advertisement regarding the en... More

All that can be said for this 'hotel' (and I use the word hotel in the loosest sense of the word) is that it was in a fairly quiet street and not too far from the centre. Way over priced (three of us shared a room and paid £350 for two nights without breakfast) and really run down. The room... More

This establishment could better be described as a very badly maintained hostel. The décor is old shabby and dark .Every sound can be heard from other rooms, including footsteps on the stairs, conversations at reception and general comings and goings regardless of the time of night. Breakfast at £5 extra consists of lukewarm tea and coffee, cheap continental meat and... More

Spent one night here in Room 4. This was above the main entrance on the first floor. The room was clean and is testament to the chambermaids who do a very good job in very poor circumstances. Below are my key observations... 1) The en-suite is clearly a very cheap addition to the room - a plasterboard box inserted into... More

Would have been better off sleeping in the car and a lot safer as well. The room was tiny, incredibly hot and the electrical wiring was nothing short of dangerous. Not to mention the wonky bannister that nearly caused a friend of mine to fall down the stairs. Reception wasn't interested in any of my complaints and basically shrugged his shoulders.... More

We visited Edinbugh recently and absolutely loved the City, it was amazing and will definately be returning, however what we will not return to is this hotel. We were surprised by the size of the rooms however, the carpets are grimey and lead to a smell that pervades the hotel. The beds are not beds they are fabricated boxes with... More

At the bookingtime the Room details were: 1 double room Double bed, Private bathroom, TV, Wi-Fi, Coffee/tea making facilities, fan. To me this means: Wi-Fi -is- included! At arrivel they asked £ 3/day. The budgetplaces is not correct representing their offer. the £ 5 breakfast is poor quality. The 2nd day we went out for breakfast.

It was basic accomodation, the guy on the desk was very pleasant, our roof was *compact* it has to be said, but it was clean. Dated perhaps but for a one night stay it was absolutely fine. For the money we paid (£45.00 for the room no breakfast for the two of us) it was absolutely fine. Had a small... More

We booked here because it was bank holidays and we couldn't find anything more central. We consider the price was too high and we had some other expectations about the hotel but the room was nice with a clean and spacious bathroom. Breakfast is not included and they should have provided us of some other facilities like hair-dryer but at... More
