Very spacious bedroom and bathroom. Walking distance to cafes and restaurants. Staff pleasant and helpful. Good breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. . We liked the area. Only real complaint was the internet access, didn't work with their cable, and wireless was a problem too. However, there was free wi-fi at the great coffee bar just around the corner. Stayed here last few days of September, hotel is perfect for sight seeing an about ten/fifteen minute walk from all the major city centre attractions. If you are lucky enough the hotel also has a couple of on site parking space, these are a little extra but cheaper than city centre parking and handy too. more

Ten Hill Place Hotel was on a side street off one of the main roads in Edinburgh, making it a very quiet place to stay. Hotel was very clean and room was very nice. Loved the free internet access. It was very 4 blocks to High Street which is the Royal Mile, so very close walking distance to everything. more

In the course of dropping and collecting student son from Edinburgh we've used three hotels and this is the best so far - excellent location convenient for the university. We only stayed at Ten Hill Place for one night but I was pleasantly surprised - the room was a good size and nicely decorated, with a modern feel. It is only a 10min walk into the centre of Edinburgh. Staff were friendly and obviously know what they are doing (sometimes a rarity). Would stay here again. more

Great location, situated near Royal Mile etc but on a side street so very quiet compared to hotels on princes st or similar. Breakfast was pretty good.
