Stayed for the weekend in one of the 8 wigwams on the site, definately a must for anyone who loves camping but not the hassle of a tent or sleeping on the floor. Wigwam was clean, warm and comfortable. They have a small fridge, microwave, kettle and a tv inside and picnic table and BBQ area outside. Wigwams 1 to... More

We booked to come to the festival and came in our motorhome for 2 nights. We had a great pitch close to amenities and very handy for the on site breakfast wagon. Easy bus route into town and a spot to buy tickets at site entrance. Only downside is that I share the view that the toilet blocks! whilst OK... More

I have stayed at Mortonhall four times and decided to write a review after getting to know the site. Checking in was quick and easy with helpful staff on hand to explain how to get to your pitch. The pitches are labelled with yellow plaques which can be quite difficult to see but if you take a map from reception... More

Convenient location for a camper van stay, great value. Fantastic bus service into Edinburgh. Warm and friendly staff. Clean and modern facilities. Relaxed attitude to departure. Only down side is a longish walk to bus stop when you've been drinking at the fringe :)

We stayed during the fringe and were happy to get in as it's on the bus route which takes you into the centre. Good little pub on site with good pub grub. Unfortunately the site lets itself down with very poor toilet and shower blocks. They are old and tatty which could be excused if they were clean. They were... More

This is a large, reasonably well run campsite. Edinburgh city centre is an easy half hour run on Edinburgh's excellent bus service - number 11 from a stop across the road from the entrance to the site - forget the tram when in town, it's hopeless and goes nowhere near the campsite anyway!!!) Back to the camp - it is... More

On arrival to the property there was no clear signage of where to go- there was a queue of motorhomes near reception but no directions or instructions. I hopped out of the car leaving my OH with it and checked in, but then we sat in the queue of motorhomes for ten minutes before just driving around it and going... More

This is a very well presented park with good facilities. The park is well maintained and the toilet/showers were very clean and tidy. About a five minute walk back up the long drive takes you to the road where you can just hop on the bus and it's only about 20 mins to the city centre. The on-site restaurant was... More

Stayed for two nights with my partner and two kids in a Wigwam. Wigwams are basic but have room for 5 people, a tv, microwave, heater (although we didn't need this due to the good weather) and fridge with a small freezer. There was also a clothes drier and your own barbeque area outside. Parking space was provided too. The... More
