Stayed here for one night in October on a business trip and thoroughly enjoyed everything about Ayntree. I usually stay at the larger hotels in the city but the standard of cleanliness and service in some of these bigger hotels often comprise the quality of your stay. I decided to try something different and I'm so glad that I did... More

Brian and Anne ensured a very enjoyable stay in Edinburgh - helpful in every way and room was charming and clean. The breakfast was great - didn't even get hungrey till 3 or 4PM! The bus was so convient to the sights - just outside the house. More

We arrived a bit early after a drive from the Lakes but were made very welcome by Brian who also gave us some helpful tips about driving in Edinburgh. We had to return our hire car to the city which was a bit daunting given the crowds there for all of the festivals and the Tattoo. Brian's map and advice... More

We enjoyed our stay at Aynetree Guesthouse very much. It was a pleasant visit with only minor points to criticise. Brian and Anne were very friendly and always ready to help. They porvided us with helpful information and advice about the sights in Edinburgh. We had room #2, the large family room, which we got as a complementary upgrade to... More

We had a hard time finding this guest house. Our GPS took us to another neighborhood. It's hard to explain. It's located on a street with two names. It's hard to explain unless you see it. When they give you directions to get to their guest house, use them. Don't rely on your GPS. We were very confused but eventually... More

Thanks for the great review. Yes, our street has TWO names which I think is bizarre! We live in Duddingston Crescent but the road across from us (the park) is MILTON ROAD. Sat.Nav. only recognises MILTON ROAD and this is what should be entered. This is stated on our web-site. You are correct in stating that the top bunk bed... More

On our last night in Edinburgh a scheduling error (mine, alas) found me, my elderly mom and two young daughters without a place to stay, during the Fringe and the night we had tickets to the Tattoo. We were so fortunate that Anne and Brian had perhaps the last room available in the city, and a quad at that! We... More

We spent four nights here. The room was on the small side, but we had chosen to stay on the ground floor for our own convenience, so we have no complaint. The room was well furnished and met all our needs. In particular, the bed was extremely comfortable. By good luck I followed the request the owners had made some... More
