Found the guest house very comfortable and had everything we needed. The directions we were sent were very clear and made it so easy to find, and being right by the bus stop meant we didn't have to use the car to get to town, ythat was a big bonus. The rooms were all we expected, really comfortable and clean,... more

My wife and I spent 6 nights at Aynetree, found it extremely quiet (including the neighbourhood), bus stop right outside, Brian and Anne forthcoming and taking their time discussing our travel plans in great detail. Breakfast was lush and tasty. Our Room (No.1) overlooking the backyard, was equipped with a very comfy bed, a decent (albeit a wee bit narrow)... more

With reference to the comment ‘Would not recommend this B & B to anyone’ dated 15.09.09; I would like to reiterate what was said and also correct the management’s response. I booked the two rooms by telephone and paid for the first night immediately by credit card. Within a few minutes of arrival Brian requested payment for the second night.... more

As we arrived at Aynetree guesthouse we were shocked that it was directly at the A1. But very soon we realized that this was only an advantage! It wasn't loud at all, we could leave our car there and the bus went directly from the guesthouse to the city, every ten minutes. The recommendatins Anne and Brian gave us worked... more

After driving up from Bristol we arrived at the Aynetree well before we said we would. With plenty of room to park we were welcomed in to drop our stuff off in our room. We were made to feel very welcome by Brian and Anne. Brian gave us a helping hand with our things and we settled in quickly. The... more

We stayed there at the beginning aof our Scotland trip and immediately decided to spend the last night we had also planned for Edinburgh there too. Very nice people, nice rooms, quiet, but still quite close to city centre - and a lovely Scottish breakfast. Thanks for this experience and see you again! more

This B & B has a great web site, but sadly does not live up to its image and comments made by other travellers. The owners requested payment within 5 minutes of arriving at the B & B. Brian was quite helpful with directions, but wife was miserable and looked very unhappy. They clearly should not be running a B... more

We actually should be running a guest house because we are very good at what we do. You cannot please everyone all of the time but we do please most of the people who visit us. What has annoyed you is that you were asked to pay when you arrived and because the credit card you presented us with was...

Stayed there for 2 nights during the festival. The bus stop is just outside the guest house which is quite convenient if you don't mind a 10-15 min ride to the city centre. Nicely decorated rooms, with very comfy beds. Don't expect any luxury ammenities, tattie scones with breakfast, home made jams or home made shortbread in your room. It... more

I've been there with my two daughters. Brian and Annie are very kind and helped us in booking tours, finding places where to eat, etc.. The room was clean and quite silent, though it was on the road side of the house. The sea is 10 minutes far by foot, while the city center is easily reachable by bus (bus... more
