Great room, nicely decorated and loads of space. Don't expect to get much sleep with the air con on, it sounds like a freight train. Other than that a great stay with a few cocktails downstairs to round things off nicely.

Couldn't fault anything. Staff were lovely and helpful, we had a beautiful room and the food at both dinner and breakfast was great. I will definitely visit again. We even got good weather in Scotland!

This is the third time we have stayed at tigerlily and it never fails to impress. The staff cannot do enough to help you during your stay. Bedrooms are beautiful as are the food and cocktails. 💜🍺🍸😃

Now this is a first class boutique hotel! the room I stayed in was devine! Bed was so comfortable and lots of little touches such as an ipod docking station with music playing when you arrive, also had hair straighteners and fresh fruit and bottled water. Cocktails here are also amazing

Well, where to start. We stayed here as a group of 4 girls on my hen do this weekend! From start to finish there were no faults at all. We were greeted by great staff on arrival and promptly shown our rooms. We had booked a standard double room and a junior suite, with the idea of getting ready and... More

Room lovely although the lights took a bit of working out. Staff brilliant very attentive and pleasant. Food was Ok but the skewered chicken was not to my liking, however my wife enjoyed it, the mussels I had for a starter were excellent.

Stayed here on 25th June as part of a deal. Given upgrade to the Black Room on arrival. Staff were great and really made you feel welcome. Room was lovely and bar downstairs was good to relax in. Have to say was disappointed with quality of evening meal, really bland. Didn't complain as room more than made up for it!!

Fantastic weekend spent at Tigerlily in the Georgian Suite. The room was just something else so if you are looking for a really special treat this is the room. Breakfast was good, but service was slow and the evening meal less impressive which was surprise a I have been here previously and the food had been very good. The aspect... More

I stayed in the hotel for valentines night and my boyfriends birthday which is the 15th feb. I paid extra for rose petals on the bed and champagne on arrival but unfortunately this wasn't there when we entered the room and by the time I asked it was too late as it had lost the effect. Our fire place didn't... More

We were met at the door by a lovely Australian lady who immediately took our suitcase and welcomed us in. Staff were brilliant at all points, the girls on the reception desk were very helpful and the staff in the restaurant were lovely too. The gentleman who waited our table on Monday 22nd June for our meal was the perfect... More

Staying in New Town

Neighborhood Profile
New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighborhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.
