Safe, nice area. Never took the buss into town because it was such a pleasant walk. Lovely room, refurbished bathroom. The bed could use a top matress instead of sleeping right on top of the matress which is not completely comfortable, but no major issue at all. Breakfast looovely with great staff and fresh fruit on the buffet. Honestly, I... More

Stayed 1 night as a last minute decision to go to the fringe. Easy to find, not far from The meadows and next to the pool, Check in at the building next door, hassle free, Parking permit for the 2 days of our stay at no charge,( considering it costs £26 for 12 hrs at a central NCP car park.)... We ended our raod trip of Scotland in Edin burgh and the Salisbury Green hotel. The hotel is located close to the Holyrood park area which has a wonderful recreation area, for walking, running and exploring the area. It also has a walkway down to the end of "The Royal Mile". The room we had was nice, clean and at... More

Only had a one night stay business trip. Its slightly strange on arrival as the hotel is in the University halls of residence grounds, also its split into two section, The reception area and main restaurant. I stayed in the much older part that was the Salisbury green. Generally the place was good, shame the TV didn't work and no... More

Salisbury Green was like staying in my very own castle! The grounds were stunning, as was the building itself. The room was lovely and clean...nothing too extravagant. A bit small, come to think of it. The breakfast was included in the price of our room, and it was quite delicious. Enjoy a modern room within an historic building at Salisbury... More

This is an interesting and beautiful hotel with lots of history. It is owned and managed by the university so its preservation as an historic site is a priority. It has a bit of a hostel vibe due to the staff, who appear to be university students, who are all very friendly and eager to recommend places to go. It's... More

Stayed at the Salisbury Green for 3 nights. Even though the building has many original features, rooms were modern and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of cold buffet and freshly cooked hot items. The staff were all friendly and helpfull. The fact that we had free parking in the hotel grounds was an added bonus. The hotel... More

Very good service for breakfast, odd place to check in but got there eventually. Very comfortable rooms, lovely shower. Overall very good hotel would visit again. Lovely decor in the hotel, no noise from outside and near to shops in local area.

Room perfectly adequate ... albeit the last room at the end of several twisty, turning corridors. The lack of a reception was a bit baffling at first ... the sign telling you that you need to go to the neighbouring building is on the door as you enter, but it's not something I was looking for, so I missed it!... We only spent one night at the Salisbury Green Hotel, and found the room to be very comfortable. The staff answered our many questions in a pleasant and helpful way. Driving a car can be challenging in Edinburgh, and they offered tips for navigating around the city in the least painful manner. Although the price was a bit higher than... More
