If there is a better B&B in Edinburgh at the price it must be very special because this one certainly is. All three rooms are in the basement of a town house in a crescent approximately a 15 minute walk from Princes Street and close to Haymarket station. All the rooms are spacious with a double and single bed in... More

My son and I spent two nights here last weekend when in Edinburgh to watch rugby. I have stayed in B&B's all over the UK, and not found anything better. The twin room was large and well appointed, with lots of little extras such as a small decanter of whisky, chocolates, and biscuits. Breakfast was huge - fresh fruit; cereals;... More

Celebrated our Silver Wedding Anniversary with 4 nights here and had the most wonderful week enjoying the company of Aileen and the lovely city of Edinburgh. As on our visits before, the rooms are spacious, well appointed and full of those little extras which make our stay so special. We have travelled all around the UK but nowhere matches up... More

We stayed here for three nights over Valentines weekend. Aileen is the perfect hostess from start to finish. She gave us some maps and directions to get into Princess Street; only a short walk away. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was vast and freshly cooked to order. Would recommend to anyone looking for a... More

During my trip to Edinburgh I was fortunate to stay at the Victorian Town House B&B for two nights. The location is excellent, merely a 5 minute walk from Haymarket train station and, being on the western edge of Edinburgh, a short bus trip to Murrayfield and Edinburgh airport. I stayed in the Colonial room which was spotlessly clean, very... More

On our first trip to Scotland, we stayed at the Victorian Town House B&B for three nights in July 2013. The town house is on a beautiful curved street, and the rooms have a private basement entrance. We stayed in the Colonial Room, a big and comfortable room with a king sized bed and soft comfy bedding. The en-suite bathroom... More

Great location. Thank you to Aileen, the super hostess, for making our two-night stay most enjoyable and relaxing. We stayed in the Colonial Room with a comfortable king-size bed and single bed. It also has a two-seater settee and television, etc. Ornaments, wall hangings and furniture all complement the room's theme. Aileen is a lovely, warm-natured and thoughtful lady who... More

On our first trip to Edinburgh we were fortunate enough to spend 4 nights at The Victorian Town House. The B&B is a great location for walking to Old Town, shopping, neighborhood restaurants, and close to a lovely walk along the Leith River. The Victorian Town House has three themed rooms that are tastefully decorated. All the rooms are spacious... More

We stayed here for a few nights in October and were highly impressed with Aileen's hospitality and attention to detail. From the moment we arrived we received a very warm welcome and good advice on the best places to visit in Edinburgh. The room was very spacious and spotless with plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Aileen provided... More
