Extraordinarily clean and charming. Aileen is an outstanding host and makes a delicious breakfast that will keep you full through the majority of the day. We were there during the end of the berry season which made breakfast extra special. It's a close walk to all the main Edinburgh attractions and walking from Haymarket Station to the B&B takes only... more

We spent 4 wonderful nights at The Victorian Town House B&B during the Edinburgh Festival, staying in the Caledonian Room (Scottish themed). The room was huge and beautifully furnished - one of the most beautifully fitted out B&B rooms we have ever stayed in (and we've stayed in some very good ones in various countries). Breakfast was great and our... more

We stayed six nights here this month. We arrived and were greeted by Aileen who immediately brought us to our room and apologized that it hadn't yet been Hoovered (we love that term). Anyway, so we were supposed to head out after dropping off our luggage to let her finish up, but ended up talking to Aileen for almost an... more

You will not go wrong staying here. This place is the best. I can't say anything negative, nothing. From the welcome drink to our final breakfast, this place is a friendly, quality place to stay while visiting Edinburgh. more

Treat yourself to a stay at the spacious Victorian Townhouse. The rooms are twice the size of the rooms in most B&B's and tastefully decorated and well equipped. Aileen provided excellent advice and superb food. The location was very quiet, yet convenient. We could easily walk to the Royal mile and take a bus to the airport and Royal Highland... more

Stayed at the Victorian Town House this August and simply found it the best B&B we ever stayed at. Aileen is really lovely with a great sense of humour. She really made us feel at home from the moment we arrived and had lots of information about Edinburgh, the history of the house and Scotland as such. We had the... more

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had the African themed room. Very comfortable, including a sofa and coffee table. Aileen was very friendly. She served us a hot breakfast the morning we arrived, even though our room wasn't ready for check-in. Very convenient location. more

Aileen is the owner and hostess of her Bed and Breakfast in Edinburgh Scottland. We were greeted at the door with warmth and energy. Were shown around and made to feel at home. Our room was huge and lovely. The bathroom was large and new. Everything was clean and beautiful. The linens were high end and ironed! The breakfast was... more

Aileen is an amazing woman that runs an equally amazing guest house! She made us feel very welcome from the start and had us laughing (infact everyone from people at the nearby pubs to the taxi drivers were comedians!). Our room was very large - fantastic bed, wonderful shower and plenty of space. We only stayed in Edinburgh for 2... more
