We had a short stay at The Lindsay Guesthouse which had been recommended by another family member. It is just around the corner from where my brother lives, so the location was perfect for our brief visit. We found Pamela and Keith to be extremely warm and friendly, the room was lovely, (we were right at the top of the... more

My second visit to the Lindsay Guest House was as perfect as the first. Very Friendly, very clean, very quiet. 1st class all the way. Stayed in a single room of ample size for the weekend visit. The tea/coffe/biscuit stock is generous and a lovely, appreciated, touch. The cost of the taxi from Haymarket Train staton was about £6. The... more

A very welcoming guest house. We had a big room with on-suite facilities at the front of the house - plenty of sitting space and plenty of hanging space. Off-street parking available (very useful in Edinburgh), excellent breakfast and easy to get into town (bus stop outside house). Road is not very busy and traffic noise is not a problem.... more

We had a lovely large double room which was spotlessly clean and very quiet, overlooking the Canal. There were plenty of hangers in the wardrobe and the Courtesy tray was very generously stocked and replemished daily. The ensuite had a shower which we prefer and the water was always hot. The breakfasts were fantastic and the staff cheerful, friendly, efficient... more

Although a little way out from the city centre, the guest house offers friendly, knowledgeable service and good value during the Festival Season. Each time I have been to the Festival, I have had no hesitation in re-booking the Lindsay Guest House. more

Place was even best that what we expected: room large and very clean and delitiously furnished, good location with bus stopping just in front of the house every 10 minutes to the city center. Keith gave us a lot of nice advices about Edinburgh and around and Pamela's Scottish breakfast was just wonderful ! Would definitely come back here if... more

We had a great stay at the Lindsay Guest house in July. Pamela and Keith are very nice and helpful. We arrived at around 10am and parked our cars (2 families) in their parking and took a short bus ride into town until 10:30 that night. The bus stop is just down the street. The house backs up to the... more

Made to feel very welcome the second I arrived. Pamela and Keith are friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated hosts. My room was immaculate, the ensuit bathroom spectacular, the breakfast delicious and for me the walk into town along the canal was better than all the fitness centers I've ever seen! Lindsay Guest House is vibrant and delightful which is perhaps inspired... more

This place is different. You feel that attention is paid to all aspects. Jeff for sure was an interesting guy to talk to. I felt good there. Maybe that is because Pamela is a Reiki master, and that shows (although Keith told me he runs the hotel). Throw in the free internet and you have a pleasant stay guaranteed. Highly... more

We stayed here 15.08.09, and it was absolutely lovely. Pam & Keith made us very welcome, served us a lovely breakfast and kept a very clean hotel. You can catch the bus directly outside into the centre, and a day ticket only costs £3. I would recommend this to anyone, as it is also lovely and quiet. The owners are... more
