This B+B is conveniently located, a 20-minute walk from Edimburgh town centre and there is also buses. Friends and I stayed here in June 2008 for EIFF. The guest house was well situated for EIFF which is basically what we needed. The Room was adequate but the mattress needed to be replaced. The bathroom was built in the corner of an average size bedroom but was nice to have privacy. Upon deciding to do the Edinburgh Moonwalk we google searched for B&B's in Edinburgh close to The Meadows - Kaimes Guest House seemed very reasonable - the inital price given over the telephone was £27 per person per night - as I did not receive any confirmation of this by letter I contacted Kaimes Guest House on numerous occasions only... more

A group of us stayed here to take part in the Moon Walk charity walk. The stay started badly when they tried to charge £10 each per night more than the price that they had agreed. The room was tired, the en-suite a cupboard with an ill-fitting sliding door; however at least the loo worked after we mended the flush.... more
