We booked this reservation on-line, and the hotel cancelled it the following night without reaching out to us and then re-let the room to another party leaving us without accommodations. And since we were traveling within the next few days and it was a very busy time with the Festivals in Edinburgh in August it placed us in a very... More

I booked two rooms for Monday 3rd, as five of us had cycled from Newcastle to Edinburgh for charity. So five men. In the three room there was only a double bed and a single bed. They wouldn't put another bed in, so I slept on the floor. Basically the service is awful and the breakfast was poor. Give this... More

Thank you for posting your review. Your feedback helps us to improve our services but after reading your response we are also very very disappointed with your feedback. You had made your booking through booking.com for 1 twin room for two persons & 1 family room for 3 persons. It clearly states on your booking that the family room has... More

At first it seemed a bit "off" but with the excellent bus service right outside the door, two routes going to the city centre (and back...) with short intervals made it a breeze to get to where you wanted. And it is "only" a 30 minute walk... :-) Very nice and helpful staff and a brilliant breakfast! Full Scottish cooked... More

We stayed here after a problem with our initial booking at a different guesthouse. We gave them short notice but they accommodated our needs fantastically. No request was too much and staff are all friendly helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast was excellent fantastic choice and something to suit everyone. If we had known this guesthouse was two doors up the road... More

Room was great with a powerful shower in the ensuite, very comfortable bed and nicely decorated. Had hairdryer and straighteners in dressing table in case you needed. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Offered to help with tours, taxis, directions you name it. Lovely location and a great breakfast to start your day.

Very nice guest house in a quiet area of Edinburgh. The city centre is a quick bus ride away. You could walk too, but it might be a bit of a hike. :) Lots of great restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. The room was very clean and had a nice updated decor. The breakfast in the morning was great... More

We were met at the door by a sweet young lady. There is no lift but she helped us take our bags up to our room. The room was nice, clean and updated. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was very nice and included fruit and hot and cold items. We would stay here again.

Stayed at this guest house the other day. Greeted upon arrival by a most helpful and friendly young lady who checked me in and took me up to the room, which was very spacious and clean. The room had everything you needed including free wifi. Decor could do with a little festering up, but that's the only negative, other than... More

Great quality room, fresh towels daily and cleaned room. Very comfortable, great view from top floor room. Breakfast was a huge choice of whatever you wanted and there was plenty of it, hot and cold. Staff were attentive and polite and helpful. With a vast knowledge of information and recommendations of where to go and what to do. Bus stop... More
