Having anxiously read the reviews about small rooms at the Number 10 hotel it was with a feeling of trepidation that we checked in. Unfortunately (silly me) I had not read the reviews before making the booking. The public areas at Number 10 are lovely, very glamorous and expensive looking. However the rooms are something quite different. The room that... more

I had booked this hotel for our first wedding anniversary. Seeing the photos on the website and it being a five star hotel thought we were going to enjoy a luxury weekend. What a disappointment! We were taken to another part of the hotel just down the street. The first room we were shown, was an attic room it measured... more

Just got back from a 2 night stay. The so called double room was tiny - dusty and only had an open shower. When i asked for a bigger room i was told "they were full" When i left the hotel they tried to get my credit card for payment even though payment had been made through my company. Stay... more

I was in Edinburgh for a course and decided to stay at Number 10 as it was so close to the city centre. The location was excellent and on arrival it was easy to find a car park. I suspect that things might be harder during the weekend but parking on the weekend was simple and free (!) - parking... more

We had along weekend in Edinburgh and stayed in Hotel number 10. The hotel and the rooms are fantastic - admittedly we had a suite. The room was huge, enormous bed, huge corner bath and jacuzzi, gorgeous bathroom, soft sofa large tv. Minor grumble for our room was you couldn't see the tv from the bed but truly everything is... more

I was very disappointed with this hotel, I have stayed in Edinburgh many times at the Hiltons and also B&B's, all were better than this hotel, do not waste your money. The rooms are ok but very small, as far as I could tell the only 5 star part was the 42 inch TV screen!! The service wasn't brilliant and... more

The hotel is well located, easy to reach George st, and also lovely Stockbridge right on your door step. Our room was great my only comment would be that the bed was very small, and we booked an executive king size, I doubt it was a double!! the service is very friendly and very efficient. the great thing about teh... more

I arrived around 7.30pm after a long day at work and was looking forward to a bite to eat then straight to bed! When I arrived the concierge told me that the restaurant was closed on Mondays but could make me a sandwich - not what I had in mind at all. He said that there were lots of restaurants... more

Stayed in the hotel for a second time whilst on business and I enjoyed my stay. I had room No 3 which was small but fine for a single traveller staying for one night – but I think this is probably one of the cheaper rooms so check when you book. I think for a couple over a weekend the... more
