I remember staying here before so was pleased of the opportunity to return. The hotel is in a nice old terrace, but not overly central. The bedroom and bathroom I was given was very well decorated indeed. Eevening meal is in a quiet restaurant and the food is above average and the service excellent - my first choice when in... More

Location and reception - Occupies two Georgian townhouses in the New Town in Edinburgh. Very good location indeed, a quiet residential street but just a genuine few minutes walk from the centre. Very small reception squeezed into the hall of one of the houses. Smiling staff. Rooms - I have stayed here four times in the past month, and have... More

Had a fantastic two nights in one of the jacuzzi suites. Room was spacious, high quality, comfy, peaceful and tastefully decorated. Loved the jacuzzi! It added an extra special touch to our weekend. Staff were spot on, attended to all our needs, of which there were few :-) Walk into Edinburgh was 10 mins at a romantic pace and some... More

I don’t normally feel compelled to write reviews after short stays at hotels but felt this hotel deserved the effort! The hotel is in a beautiful part of Edinburgh; stunning architecture, peaceful with a selection of fantastic bars and restaurants close by. The hotel itself doesn’t disappoint, we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist and although we arrived early,... More

Booked an executive double room for myself and my partner for New Years. Firstly, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and we received a very warm welcome. The room we were in was downstairs off street level and opened out onto a garden. The room was beautifully decorated, with a large TV, ipod docking station and coffee machine. We... More

We booked a small double but were upgraded to an executive double room. The room was very plush, 42" TV, iPod dock, Jacuzzi bath, sofas. The only downside was it was on the 4th floor and there was no lift, but the room made up for the altitude sickness! More

We stayed here for just one night and I can honestly say that the service one received from staff is faultless. Warm reception awaits you when checking in and they are ever so helpful. Even though we arrived early we were shown to our room to freshen up before hitting the shops. However on our return to the hotel in... More

A wet afternoon in Edinburgh and a warm welcome from reception made me feel instantly at home in this converted pair of affectionately referred to 'double uppers' in Gloucester Place where I had spent virtually every Easter holiday as a child just two doors away. The Adam architecture and signature stairwell ceiling window were so familiar to me and so... More

I recently stayed here for a romantic weekend trip for my girlfriend’s birthday as I had booked tickets for “We Will Rock You” at the playhouse. I had asked her where and what type of room she wanted and she replied “It has to have a Jacuzzi!” which I then googled and this hotel was the first to pop up.... More
