Glenlivet is quite well located for getting in to Edinburgh. The bus stop is very close and it takes about 20-25 mins to get to the city. The hosts were welcoming and informative. We found the room a little small, hard to find room for luggage. Nice breakfast provided. more

I find this the cleanest, most welcoming and friendly B&B I have visited and travel regularly - all over Scotland with my work. The breakfast served here is unsurpassed ( the selection of fresh fruit and the coffee are fantastic) - and I completely agree with the previous review that this must be one of Edinburgh's best kept secrets! My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. We had a wonderful time and everything was perfect. We really loved the location. It was very easy to use the buses to get around. It is a very short ride to the center of town and also easy to get to and from the airport. The owners very very kind and... more

Glenlivet House is marvelous! Linda and Dave were kind, warm and welcoming. The room was cozy and inviting, and, like the entire house, immaculately clean. We stayed for 6 nights, and greatly appreciated our hosts' close attention to all the details that made our visit comfortable. And the breakfasts! Simply the best we had during our entire trip. Room was superb too, very comfortable, very clean and nice and quiet. Best breakfast I've had in ages. Well placed for getting into town - 10 minutes on the buses (which stop outside Glenlivet... more

We stayed almost two weeks at Glenlivet. The host and hostess were very hospitable, helpful, kind and considerate. The rooms were very clean and attractive and all our needs were met. The breakfasts were outstanding. Transportation was very convenient, and it was a nice neighborhood. There is much to see in and around Edinburgh. It was a tremendous place to... more

Has to be Edinburghs best kept secret. Really big rooms, breakfasts superbly cooked and served in surroundings fit for royalty. Spotless everywhere and hosts so friendly they are like family. We never found better in 4 weeks of B & B's. You could not find a single fault here. more
