Everything about Clan Walker is wonderful - the friendly, warm welcome and service from John and Lucy made us feel extremely comfortable; the fabulous location of the guesthouse, with the bus stop right outside the front door, leaving us about a 10 minute bus journey into the centre of Edinburgh; the spacious, beautifully-decorated room with newly-refurbished en-suite bathroom ensured we... more

Our family of 4 stayed in the large room with the great view and new upscale bathroom. Very handy to bus lines to the city centre and other attractions, close walking distance to a student pub. Breakfast was ample and delicious, with an array of choices. Glad we found it! more

My husband and I stayed here with his mother and really liked the house. John and Lucy were very accomodating- we arrived late and got lost, and John was there on the phone telling us how to get there. My mother-in-law arrived the morning after we arrived and, even though they didn't have to, Lucy served her up some coffee... more

What a great place, with a warm welcome we were shown to a lovely large room with new luxury bathroom. The bed was really comfortable and the room had period features and beautiful big window. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choice to start and a generous cooked option to follow, Lucy, the hostess was really helpful, suggesting all the... more

The food was delicious and everything that I would have expected and then some. The room was very luxurious and comfortable. I have already recommended it to other people. The location was ideal--walking distance to everything but near enough to the bus system if needed, the room was perfect-- elegant yet chic and modern, the bathroom was very clean and... more

John and Lucy (the owners) are so hospitable, accomodating and friendly. My friend arrived before I did when we arrived, let them know and as soon as I was at the door, Lucy knew who I was and which room I was booked in to. Also we had a key each (2 of us a twin room) which doesn't happen... more

This is a fantastic, very cozy guest house. We stayed in the "Superior Double Room", which was newly renovated and decorated. The room included an excellent double bed, large flat screen TV, safe, personal refridgerator, tea facilities, CD player, and a very modern ensuite bathroom. The owners of the guest house are very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was... more
