We stayed one night. We visited the Edinburgh castle & Holyrood House. Really liked the castle. Park at the bottom of the Royal Mile near the Holyrood House and walk up the royal mile to the castle in the AM. Then walk back down and visit the Holyrood House in the afternoon. Your walk will be downhill to the Holyrood... more

I stayed at Clan Walker last January and was impressed by the standards of comfort and cleanliness.. My room had a new en-suite , there was plenty of space in the room, it had a desk and a sofa. The bed was very comfortable, and everything was spotless. I thought breakfast was also excellent and there was plenty of choice. more

Well, the internet presence is really successful (without the flash header what starts at each page). The furniture is between traditional and modern. Bed is cosy and bedclothes are fashionable and the ensuite-bathroom is ultra-modern. Breakfastroom is spacious and with well-designed furniture and dishes. Breakfast was great, good assortment, we missed fresh fruits. TV is great. Attention: The triple-room in... more

The stay was really nice. Our room had a great view on the mountains in the park of Edinburgh. It was just 10 minutes to walk there and we had the best possible view over the city. The Clan Walker guest house is a very nice place. We got a lot of help, the breakfast is gorgeous and to get... more

My English is not good. I'm from Leipzig in Germany. We have made our selection from the Internet and do not really know what to expect. Perfect communication only via e-mail. What we found was a real Scottish B&B. If you are looking for a family hotel in Scotland's Capital, you need look no further. would definitely recommend staying here.... more

Rooms had many modern fixtures + fittings (e.g. leather sofa, large flat screen TV) and the bathroom had a hint of luxury too. Proprieters go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need including information on the town itself. Beautiful hillside opposite (Salisbury Crag) which was a very pleasant walk after breakfast. You find yourself right by... more

I just wanted to write on behalf of myself and my colleague about what a fantstic stay we had at the Clan Walker guest house. We arrived late at night but were able to park our two vehicles easily - one round the corner and one right in front of the house. Our room was light and airy with high... more

Room was not comfortable. Beds were very uncomfortable, one could not move for the fear of moving the wires, the least move meant voices and woke you up. The shower mixer was not working properly. People were not rude, but definitely unpleasant. The owner misinformed us on a matter of great importance when he could simply say “I don’t know... more

Management response from

We take this negative review very seriously, and are saddened that one of our guests did not have a pleasant stay with us. There are however a few confusing issues, which we feel must be pointed out on our behalf. The guest has stated that the beds were “uncomfortable”, however, the 2 beds in the guests room are new “posturepedic”...
