Booked this guest house for our girly weekend away. All rooms were very clean and roomy with plenty of complimentry bits. There was lots of choice for breakfast freshly cooked to order and accomodating our dietry needs. The owners were very helpful with booking taxis or tables at resturants. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble, they even make us... More

A lovely warm welcome from the owner, the room was lovely & facilities with in the room - perfect! Breakfast kept us going all day , highly recommend the full Scottish :-) Bus stop right outside the door, if you don't want to walk into the centre. Great pub along the road, that does a great meal. Overall, highly recommend.... More

Stayed for 2 eventful nights at the start of the month - our hosts were lovely and welcoming, from e-mail to room door. Beautiful home within walking distance of the city with tremendous views over Arthur's Seat. Stay represented great value, with spacious rooms with far more character than any of the chains on a similar budget, with large comfortable... More

Me and my girlfriend had a very nice stay at Clan Walker. We stayed for 3 nights and the staff there were very accommodating. Breakfast was really nice and the view of Arthur's seat was beautiful. The room was small but cosy and the price was reasonable, especially as it was the weekend of the Scotland England rugby game. Would... More

I stayed at Clan Walker for only two nights (3rd & 4th Nov) and upon arrival I was greeted in a warm and welcoming manner. I had a single room with a very comfortable bed and an excellent en-suite shower. Lots of hot water to soothe the tired feet after walking around Edinburgh at days end. The breakfast was served... I arrived at 2 pm to find no-one in. On checking on the website I found you couldn't book in till 5 pm. On returning at 5.30 pm I was told I wasn't expected till midnight and advised room not ready but I could leave my luggage and return later. On returning at 7.30 pm found the kids and I... More

We had a small hiccup with the booking, but this was soon resolved with grace. The place was easy to find, had parking right outside and was well worth the money. The hosts were lovely, there was lots of choice for breakfast and it was nice too. The room we had (no 6) had great views and plenty of space,... More

Can't really fault the location or the condition of this old house. Taxi was £5 from the old town which is good. The guest house is on the main bus route, you literally walk out and your on the bus stop. This comes with a draw back, the noise from the traffic can be annoying if your a light sleeper... More

We stayed for 3 nights in one of the four poster bedrooms in August 2013. The room was lovely and had tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer etc. The ensuite was modern with a lovely big shower which had great pressure and was easy to work. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices and the owners were very friendly. The location... More

Really looking forward to my break away in Edinburgh as I'd suffered from a bout of ill health and I wasn't disappointed. We arrived at 7.30 and the owner was there to meet us and carry our case up. We stayed in the macdonald room which is a twin room. It was a smallish room but lovely and was both... More
