Unfortunately we stayed only for one night in Edinburgh in this wonderful guest house. Everything was fine. The family room where we slept and the whole house is lovely furnished. The breakfast was simply delicious, tasty, etc. The owner Angela is a brilliant hostess. Everything she did excellent. We enjoyed each and every second of the time we spent there. The... more

We were expecting great things from the Abercorn, after all the great reviews on TripAdvisor, and I'm pleased to say that in no way were we disappointed. The house is turned out exceptionally, and Angela is an amazing host who made us feel welcome immediately, and happily answered all of our questions. The property itself is located on a road... more

We went back to the Abercorn after one year and a half, and we found it keeps getting better! The manse is beautiful and extremely well mantained, as always. The room we stayed in was even more spacious then the previous one, luxury furnished, spotless, perfectly clean, with a flat widescreen lcd tv, and other "deluxe" touches, extra comfy bed... more

A wonderful place to stay, welcoming hostess, fantastic breakfast. A great room and the small touches really made it. We left feeling that Angela was a friend and she gave us great tips for running our own B&B!!! Whether we take the plunge is another matter!! We look forward to seeing Angela and her husband again soon, hopefully in the... more

I spent three nights in Edinburgh with two other people and chose to stay at Abercorn Guest House after reading the excellent reviews on TripAdvisor. I wasn't disappointed. Angela is such a great host. It's hard to believe that after running a B&B for so long that she can still show such enthusiasm, but it is quite obvious that she... more

We stayed for 2 nights in this tastefully decorated and comfortable guest house. We were greeted by our warm and friendly host, who on arrival offered complimentary refreshments immediately. The room was more than adequate for our needs and the breakfast's were first class. The location was approximately 5 miles from Edingburgh City Centre, but the bus stops in either... more

This was probably the best guest house we have ever stayed in and we have travelled quite widely. We always look at tripadvisor before we go anywhere and after we have stayed in places we often feel they have been overrated by the reviews We did not however think this was the case with Abercorn however and we fully agree... more

Abercorn was very easy to find, right off the bus route, even for a cpl of first time travellers to the area. My husband and I were on our dream honeymoon, greeted warmly by Angela the hostess. Our room was spectacular with lots of space and comfort. Nice sized seperate bath. The breakfasts there were wonderful and served up usually... more

Angela, the owner, was Wonderful! We had tea upon arrival, complementary wine, great advice for an Indian Restaurant in town. Great location across from beach with long promanade. We really felt we made a great choice not staying in downtown Edinburgh - we had a car, but Abercorn is right on a bus line so you don't have to worry... more

Stayed 6 nights at Abercorn B & B during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Enjoyed a very comfortable stay in a lovely, spacious, elegantly furnished, light-filled room. Angela and her father made us most welcome and were very helpful in guiding us around Edinburgh and helping us with any problems we experienced. Breakfast was a delight in the sun filled conservatory... more
