Once again my stay at Abercorn was perfect, Angela is always the perfect host the location and and facilities are the best. This is 5 star, if they is a better B&B in Scotland I will eat my hat. Portobello is a great seaside town away from the busy city, you have the best of both worlds at this location... More

Excellent place to stay while visiting the City of Edinburg. Good food nearby and i the end there is a stroll along the seaside...what more do we want? From here we went in town a few time wich was quite easy by bus but also by car.....as long as you know where to park. Grassmarket was quit alright.

My wife booked this trip to Edinburgh and this wonderful guest house as a birthday present to myself. Well what a fantastic house it is, the rooms are spotlessly clean, tidy and very elegant and we were made to feel at home the moment we arrived and welcomed with a lovely cup of tea. The house is just a few... More

My daughter booked a surprise weekend for us in Edinburg and chose the Abercorn Guest House. She could not have chosen better as in my opinion one of the best I have stayed in. The ambiance, attention to detail, superb breakfast, and lovely welcome from the owner set it in a class of its own.

I have booked 2 nights at Abercorn Guest House for myself for my short visit to Edinburgh. Whereas the rooms are nice and you do get a huge breakfast the location can be e bit of a problem. Although my biggest disappointment came after checking out and realising I forgot the charger from my phone in the room. When I... More

This was a great Guest House. Very friendly and accommodating hosts. A frequent bus service into the centre of Edinburgh. Well located close to the ring road for travel by car. Only a few minutes from the beach front and promenade. A wide range of choice for breakfast, all excellent quality. Free wifi. Would thoroughly recommend, and will definitely use... More

An overnight stay in the Abercorn guest house was exactly what I needed after a stressful couple of days with exams. My girlfriend booked the stay as a wee treat for the both of us, and by God I was shocked when I walked through the front door of the B&B. The place was absolutely stunning, and we got such... More

This B&B was close to the Portobello Swim Center , which is why it was chosen , to enable my fiancée to complete her course. I would say the attention to detail in customer satisfaction and the furnishings in the hotel and room were of an excellent standard. I consider the proprietors to be excellent , in both their personal... More

We found this place from a quick browse of the internet and what a great find it was. Great price and fabulous breakfast for all and any culinary tastes. What we were impressed with was the value for money and the comfort level normally associated with higher priced establishments. Angela was even kind enough to share her secrets to a... More
