My partner and myself have just got back from a long weekend at the Abercorn guest house in Edingburgh. Angela (the owner) was so welcoming and we were able to get into our lovely room early on the day we arrived. The bedroom was large, bright and beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Angela gave us lots of helpful... More

We stayed three nights in this beautiful home! The hostess, Angela, is exceptional! She is welcoming and very helpful! The house is 2 short blocks from the beach. The bus stop for the city is right outside the front door! Wonderful breakfast and comfy bed! You won't go wrong staying here! A beautiful home inside and out!

We came to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and from arriving to departing, Angela (the owner) could not have been any more welcoming. Amazing room - so clean, homely and luxurious. And the breakfast was fantastic. Would definitely go back again and will be recommending to our friends and family. Thank you Angela

The Abercorn guest house is a very beautiful old Victorian house, very well presented, well equipped, clean, quiet, fabulous period features, large gardens and good transport links to the city with bus stops almost outside the front gate ( although watch for the grumpy bus drivers). Angela is a great host, the breakfasts are huge and very tasty. The beach... More

The Abercorn Guest House is located in Portobello, 5 min walk from the beach and a 20 min bus ride from downtown Edinburgh. Nice interior design, very stylish, but matching with the old style of the building. The rooms are beautiful and can rival good 5 star hotels. The owner is very friendly and keen on making your stay enjoyable.... More

I was very pleased with my stay at abercorn guest house. My mama and I stayed here in a double room last november for three nights. The cost was reasonable at £210 with full english breakfast. The interior design was beautiful with its elegant Victorian style. The breakfast was good; not a hundred of choices but enough to fill you... More
