Very run down hotel. Beds uncomfortable. Our room was over the Irish bar noisy on a week day. This is more like a hostle suitable for young people perhaps on a buget. We stayed for one night my daughter and i as we were visiting the school of art. I doubt you will find a better location of hotel in Edinburgh for the very economic price. we had a fantastic time at the GrassMarket, yes it is above a pub but this is very clear when you book it so people shouldnt moan about it, and actually for 3 nights we heard hardly anything from the pub.
