Stayed at Chancellor's Court which is part of the "campus" at Pollock halls in Edinburgh. It cost around £90 per night which may sound pricey to some but it really isnt considering we stopped in mid August which is prime time for the Fringe festival (which we were there for) and other events and other hotels were much more expensive.Some... more

As I was going to a concert at the Castle I wanted accommodation close by. All the hotels I checked out were very expensive and by luck I found Pollock Halls. I had a single en suite room and it was quite fine - especially for the price. You wouldn't want to stay very long in your room but you... more

Chancellor's Court of Pollock Halls offered a clean moderate sized room with private bath convenient to downtown Edinburgh and in the shadow of Arthur's Seat. I enjoyed my three night stay in this University of Edinburgh facility. Advantages - reasonable cost - buffet breakfast with good variety - friendly and helpful front desk staff - location within walking distance of... more

We were invited to the Royal Garden Party at the Palace, and had no idea where to stay. We chose Chancellor's Court purely because of its location, and were most agreeably surprised. The room was comfortable, adequately appointed, and easily accessible, with ample convenient car parking. The cafeteria-style catering was surprisingly tasty and innovative, so that we did not feel... more

We stayed in Pollock Halls when we visited Edinburgh for the Tattoo in August 2007. We booked a double room with ensuite for the 2 night stay. Room was basic and quite small, but clean, and provided the perfect base for our trip. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room as we were busy out and about.... more

The double room and ensuite was very clean and there were shared amenities like a kitchen and a lounge area. It's a good place if you're travelling with a family with a toddler. The walls of the room, however, were quite thin and we could hear the other people in the next room. There is a small convenient store that... more

Stayed at Chancellors Court which was excellent. Double and single ensuite rooms with everything you would find in a good quality hotel. This student accommodation is available at Easter and during the summer months and is a short bus ride or 20 minute walk from the city centre. There is a taxi rank on the complex and a fully staffed... more

We stayed in a twin room in the Pollock Halls for the Edinburgh fringe. The rooms are basic and quite small, but clean and pretty well-equipped (good bathroom, comfy beds, TV etc.) The buffet breakfast is excellent. The location is okay - about 25 minutes' walk or five or so minutes by bus/taxi to Princes Street. more

Have just spent 3days in a lovely city and stayed at Pollock Halls University Accomodation. The halls were excellent, very clean, basic but everything you need, bed, wardrobe, sink in room, tea/coffee making facilities and shower and loo opposite your room. Breakfast was self service in a big dining hall which was clean and the choice was unbeleivable, all fresh... more
