We stayed at the Kingsburgh House for our 10th Wedding Anniversary and on arrival were made to feel exceptionally welcome and special. The owners are very friendly and offer plenty advise on where to visit and recommend places to eat - which they booked for us. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. Our room was beautifully... more

This was our first trip to Scotland and we chose Edinburgh out of flight convenience. Little did we know we would have a truly memorable experience with the Kingsburgh Guest House. The owners were wonderful, the food delicious, the location excellent, and the rooms/house were comfortable, well decorated, and spacious. We will definitely return to this Guest House when we... more

This trip was a surprise by my husband for my 30th and I was thrilled with the description on the website but even happier when we arrived. The Kingsburgh is a lovely hotel. The owners are friendly and full of tips and information for those hoping to experience as much of Edinburgh as possible. The house itself is stunning and... more

Stayed for 3 warm, sunny days in April and booked the Campbell room which has a 4 poster bed. On arrival (we were an hour early but room was ready) we were greeted by friendly and welcoming Andrena who helped us up to our room and offered us a beer/wine/tea which we gratefully accepted. We met her back downstairs to... more

We have stayed in many hotels and b&b's in the uk and abroad and this has to be one of the best. From the moment you arrive they welcome you with a complimentry wine or beer and cake then there's complimentry sherry in the room and chocolates. The room was spotless and very quiet there's a bus stop into Edinburgh... more

We arrived after a long journey to a friendly welcome by Andrena, who after showing us to our very impressive room brought us complimentary glass of wine and nibbles. She also supplied us with a bus timetable & leaflets for tourist attractions. We could not fault the room, bed very comfy & warm, a complimentary decanter of excellent sherry, chocolates... more

My husband and I stayed at the Kingsburgh House last weekend for one night. We were visiting Edinburgh for the football and to celebrate our wedding anniversary. So we were looking for something romantic and plush but not too expensive and close to the city centre. After reading other reviews on this site we decided to make a booking and... more

Absolutely top quality guest house, good location, very friendly and helpful proprietors, excellent breakfast. We only wish we had more time to spend in the beautifully furnished rooms. Our short time in Edinburgh was made all the more pleasurable by staying at this lovely house. We hope to return for a longer stay next time! more
