We stayed at this city centre B&B for a girly weekend away. It was a great price compared to others we looked at and we really couldn't fault it. There was plenty of choice for breakfast which was delicious and massive, a great start to the day. We had the family room which was a good size and very quiet... more

I travelled from Wales to Edinburgh by train and took a taxi from the train station to Braveheart, the reason for this was I wanted to get there as quickly as possible, after a long train journey. I learnt however that I could have caught a bus as they stop close to the guest house. The reason for my stay... more

My friend and I travelled to Edinburgh and stayed at the Braveheart for one night, which was more than enough. The decor was very poor and the finishing was awful (see photos). As we planned to be out for the majority of the evening, we decided to 'rough it out', but decided against breakfast as by that time, we were... more

Booked Braveheart as it was the best deal I found in this part of Edinburgh. Reserving a room on-line was very easy e-mailing with the owners. Clean, comfortable place, mattress was not the best but after flying overnight from the US it didn't matter that much! Hot water was nice! Good location to the city center, took us about 15... more

Edinburgh is a very expensive city. We had to come when we did, we had to bring a car with us and we didn't want to spend a fortune. So we needed to stay out of the city centre because of the closures while they build the tram network. The location of the Braveheart is good on foot and great... more

Just come back from the Braveheart and its location is Very good but the b&b needs some work. The rooms are small and very very cold, I know I was in Scotland but we had a duvet on use & two extra throws. You dare not put your arms out of the bed. The radiator would just warm up then... more

Very friendly, the people who run this Inn are some of the nicest and accommodating people that I've encountered while booking rooms. This Inn is located just a short bus ride from the train station, and there is a small convenience store near. For and extra £20 we were able to get an extra cot put in our room for... more

We stayed on the top floor. The room definitely needs updating as the red carpet didnt really appeal to us. The bathroom smelt very musty all the time, and the tv didnt really work. It wasnt on the upper side in terms of location, but it was only 15 minutes walk to Princes St, Edinburgh Castle and museums. more

I valued the Braveheart for its location, the hospitality we enjoyed and for the accuracy of the reviews we read before chosing to book the Braveheart. My husband is 6ft 4 and American - not used to smaller, cramped conditions that city accommodation often predicts. As a Londoner there were no surprises for me. I loved our en suite room... more

We stayed at the Braveheart guest house for 4 nights. We loved it. I usually use the hotel / guesthouse just for sleeping – for this it is ideal. It is better than most hotels around – and far cheaper. Pros: 1) Cheap 2) Close to the Royal Mile (about 15mins walk) 3) Lovely Staff 4) Big room – with... more
