We had wonderful days in a very nice and cosy accomodation. Lesley and Neil, thank you very much for your great hospitality!! Breakfast was delicious and the daily changing menues had been really varied. Our room was clean and provided everything we needed. We did not recognize any traffic out of our room. The B&B is about 2 miles far... More

Very nice place to stay. Good value for money. Hosts very welcoming & a lovely couple. My only disappointment iscar space, 5 spaces for a 6 bed lodge. Had to park over the road & road very busy at times to cross. But overall 5/5

Top marks to Lesley and Neil. We visited at the end of July Very welcoming and helpful hosts. B&B is as stated on other favorable reviews. Family room large enough for us plus our 18-year old son. Breakfast very good and generous. When asked, Neil and Lesley offer excellent advice with a smile. Property is also close to a mall... More

We stayed here for a weekend in July. It was chosen mainly for the parking which worked perfectly so we didn't need to worry while visiting the city. Very friendly hosts, good food (loved the shortbread!) and nice rooms and with the bus stop outside we couldn't fault a thing. Would definitely recommend to others and stay again if we... More

Clean rooms, extremely friendly staff who went the extra mile. They even sent a recipe for delicious hot cakes they cooked one breakfast. Our room was quiet, had a colour TV and was clean. The breakfasts were amazing and there were a selection of Lesley's home made cakes, fresh fruit, cereal's and this was followed by a cooked dish which... More

I had to laugh seeing Anneangharad's review below ours, because we've visited Brae Lodge twice and NEVER seen Lesley! Neil is very much your host, and he's a delightful gent with one of those peculiarly mad senses of humour that presumably come from years in the B&B trade. Lesley's cooking speaks for itself, though: terrific breakfasts are the reason we've... More

Hi! It was great to see you both again and thank you for giving us a very good review. The compliments are much appreciated but I don't know if I can coax Lesley from the kitchen now as her head may not fit through the door! Your constructive feedback is most welcome. We did manage to refurbish Room 4 before... More

On a busy street called Liberton Brae, but there were 4 off-street parking spots available, apparently only for guests. Quite large bedroom with king size bed. Small bathroom with only 1 hand towel, 1 drinking glass, 2 bath towels. Separate hot and cold faucets in bathroom sink. Good shower. Needed at least one more towel rack, Hair drier provided. Two... A little disappointed, maybe we have been spoilt, by staying in better accommodation previously, and being ex hoteliers my friend and myself both owned separate hotels, and were quite surprised, to find that after booking, we were told that we couldn't check in until 4pm after requesting to arrive at 2pm,were told that they wouldn't be there until after 4pm,... Hello Anne, Lesley here! First of all I am sorry that you were a little disappointed with your stay. As ex-hoteliers you must realise that a Guest House does not operate in the same way as a hotel and we do not have the staff of a hotel. I would like to answer some of the points you have raised....
