Great hotel in a very cetral location. Staff are very polite and helpful - from the desk to the cleaning people. Breakfast is freshly cooked to order and the chef regularly visits the dining area to check on customers views. Rates are competitive for this location and they also have an arrangement for 20% reduction in car parking in a... more

We were pleasantly surprised on arriving at this hotel. The staff were very efficient, and helpful. They even looked up train times on the web for us and delivered the results to our room. The beds were comfortable and room spacious. The breakfast was excellent. Freshly cooked to order. We were even encouraged to have more and the chef came to our table to make sure... more

This was the only bedroom available in all of Edinburgh this weekend for the New Zealand/Scotland rugby game. After being turned away at 200 other hotels, we were almost worried when the central booking agent at Premier Travel Inn told us that a room was available at their downtown Lauriston Place property for £89 per night. Whoever cancelled here missed... more

Reception Staff very helpful and friendly, though there was difficulty communicating in the restaurant. Food not very good and pricey for way presented. Lunch poor, sausage and mash looked like leftovers with conjealed reheated gravy. Evening meal taken at hotel simply for convenience, not choice, was marginally better but overpriced. Location of hotel good, places of interest being just a... more

We booked a double room and were given a family room. It was so wonderfully spacious! The room was immaculate - like new. It had an awesome shower. Centrally located - a short walk to everything. We paid £79 per night, no breakfast or parking included. We felt that the cost of their breakfast was on the high side, so... more

We recently visited Edinburgh for 3 nights and stayed at the Travel Inn on Lauriston Place. The first night was slightly uncomfortable as it was too warm even with the window open but the other 2 nights were fine - we had a room on the 5th floor. Based on an earlier recommendation on tripadvisor; we had breakfast a couple... more

Recently spent 3 nights in the Lauriston Place Travel Inn on my first visit to Edinburgh. Had a first floor room and found it very cool - I know some have complained about the hotel being too warm, but we had no problem even though we did sleep with the window open. Very clean, comfortable and convenient accommodation about 5/10... more

We stayed here on a girls' weekend away in January. We paid around £55 pounds per room per night, and then also paid for the full breakfast on top. As mentioned by previous reviewers, the rooms were spacious very clean and with comfortable beds. Well located, about a 10 mins walk to Old Town, with a tour bus stop right... more

I highly recommend the Premier Travel Inn on Lauriston Street. It was VERY clean (huge with me!), comfortable and well appointed. We had a twin room and it was attractive and spacious. Heard some hallway noise here and there with firedoors banging shut, etc but overall the stay was restful. Price is right too! I have a number of friends... more

We were very pleasantly surprised by our stay in this travel inn. I have stayed in a few different travel inns in the UK before, and this one was by far the best. The front desk staff were excellent - extremely welcoming and very helpful, telling us the best places to visit and genuinely seeming interested. The rooms were standard... more
