The bast part about it is its central location!, If you have never been to Edinburgh it big and in like 2 parts, the top of the town and the bottom, and there is a massive... more

Stayed for one night due to no alternative. Reception extremely helpful and friendly. I unfortunately dined in the evening and was a little disappointed with the language barrier with the restaurant staff as their command of the Spoken English was very limited, but that I am able to overcome if necessary. It was the food that really let things down... more

Hotel is located behind castle in old area of Edinburgh - Rooms are comfy and clean but very noisy The hotel is situated on a busy road and on the weekend we stayed there it was full of stag and hen parties so lots of room noise too. However, the hotel does provide affordable accommodation in a good location. If... more

Went to my Cousin's wedding near Edinburgh . Wanted to to stay in central Edinburgh so we could explore the city before we travelled home. Didn't want to spend a lot of money on a hotel as we were only using it as somewhere base ourselves for a a couple of nights Anyway following the other reviews we stayed here.... more

Maybe I was lucky but, as a regular pti user, this must rank as the best I've ever stayed in. On arrival we were able to occupy one of the 2 rooms booked about 4 hours early but the very friendly girl on reception said that they would've stored our bags if not -- unlike another budget lodge for travellers... more

I stayed in this Travel Inn with my Husband for one night, and that was too long. The hotel room allocated was one that clearely used to be a smoking room and despite attempts to disguise this (smoking sign chiselled off the door, but missed on several others next door which had paper signs saying 'this is now a non-cmoking... more

This hotel was nice. I stayed here for 2 nights while meeting up with my parents who were on a coach tour, staying at a luxury hotel. The hotel was clean, I felt safe, and I had no problems whatsoever. The only thing I would caution is that you really need to take a taxi to get to the Royal... more

Great hotel in a very cetral location. Staff are very polite and helpful - from the desk to the cleaning people. Breakfast is freshly cooked to order and the chef regularly visits the dining area to check on customers views. Rates are competitive for this location and they also have an arrangement for 20% reduction in car parking in a... more
