Nice, basic hotel with friendly staff! In a great hotel location. Approx 5 min walk to Princes street which is the main shopping street and/or Edinburgh castle! The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were quiet! I reduced the rating because the en suite had a very strong smell of urine and the ironing board was one without a... More

Had a very pleasant three night stay here in March with my partner, standard premier inn so we werent disappointed, good service, very clean, nice fresh breakfast and easy check in/out. I really liked the location as we were a little bit out of town centre (15 mins walk or 5/10 mins in a taxi/on the bus), lots of nice... More

Set back location near to the Grassmarket , Royal Mile and Castle. The hotel is value for money. Rooms, service, helpful staff and food. We had the 3 course evening meal with a drink and breakfast option. I thought it was very good for the money and tasty. The Breakfast Buffet has lots of the usual to choose from Bacon... More

I stayed here with my 2 children in March and cannot fault this hotel. I had requested a quiet room and was not disappointed. The location is fairly central although we did get a taxi to and from the hotel to Waverley station. The children and I were made to feel very welcome by the hotel staff and I would... More

Very good budget hotel a 5-10 minute stroll away from the action of the Royal Mile, Castle & other sights. Close to local bars, restaurants & cafes beneath the Castle & there are a few routes back to the tourist sites. If you need a more level route ask the staff otherwise the alternative route is very hilly, as is... More

Don't let the somewhat shabby entrance to this hotel put you off. It's a great stay, very close to most of the sites (walking distance) and at a very reasonable price. The rooms are adequate and comfortable, beds are good. Very friendly and welcoming staff! Great breakfast... good way to start the day!

The room was big, the bed was huge and comfortable, the breakfast was the usual fayre but great value at only £8.25. The room was quiet and dark - concussive to a good might's sleep. No negative comments really - an all-round good mid-range hotel. Ideal for a weekend sightseeing in Edinburgh.

Me and my 10 year old daughter decided to go on a little one night break in Edinburgh. We wanted to be near the centre of town We were expecting a simple, small room but clearly, we were wrong! When we arrived, too early to check in, the receptionist (Liam) was very helpful and put our bag in a small... More

Nice hotel, very comfortable bed. Breakfast has room for improvement, good quantity but very bland food. Near Grassmarket and easy to walk to Prices Street, the Castle and Royal Mile. Bus stop very close, including nº15 that goes to Roslyn Chapel. Would return if came back to Edinburgh and would recommend to friends.

You couldn't really ask for a better location in Edinburgh, central to the castle and Princes Street and easy to find by road. Though there is no on-site parking, the recommended car park is only a few minutes walk away and not expensive. The hotel itself feels new and fresh, the rooms were large and warm and very clean. Check-in... More
