Jill and Doug are wonderful hosts-- very fun and had lots of great advice about running around town. The B&B is clean and quiet, in a good neighborhood that is close to the bus line. We stayed for three nights for the Fringe festival and Military Tattoo for our honeymoon, and were quite pleased with our choice of lodging.

Jill, Doug and Sally were excellent hosts. The house is in a quiet neighborhood about a twenty minute walk from the Royal Mile and a ten minute walk to Holyrood Park. Nice walks to two golf courses and a nature preserve. The room was two flights up from the street, comfortable, breakfast cooked to order and neighborhood restaurant and pub... More

I spent three nights here inJuly to visit Edinburgh and attend the Open Championship. The room was two floors up along with the other four rooms. It had one large bed and one smaller bed. The wifi worked well. The bathroom in this room (2) was small, but fine. The room looked out to gardens and hills. It was about... More

My cousins and I were looking for a nice, yet affordable, place to stay in Edinburgh, and we were really happy with Airdenair! It was a quick taxi ride from the train station or an easy busy ride to the Royal Mile. The bus stop was very close, essentially around the corner. Jill was a wondering hostess, she even has... Airdenair is located a short bus-ride or long walk away from the Royal Mile in a neighborhood that has many B&Bs. Jill, the proprietor, is friendly and helpful. She gave us a map with instructions for getting downtown by bus as well as local eating options. Our room was clean, though not fancy, and had a great view of Arthur's... More

Spent three great nights at this guest house and loved meeting owners Jill and Doug and Jill's sister, Sally. Breakfasts, particularly the homemade scones, were excellent! Good location; in good weather, only 20 minute walk to the Royal Mile. 5-10 minute taxi or bus ride... Jill was very good at making accomodations for us (early arrival, arranging taxis and preparing... More

I was very pleased for the value of the stay; in a city with rather high accommodation prices, I was pleasantly surprised about the price and what one got for the price; great breakfasts; Jill was very helpful and went out of her way to help.

If you love visiting big cities, but don't love the congestion, traffic and over-population of the center of town, Airdenair Guest House is THE place to stay in Edinburgh. It is conveniently outside the hustle and bustle of beautiful Edinburgh, but has bus service practically at the front door that gets you to all the action in 10 minutes. The... More

This B&B is a comfortable home, but nothing special. The rooms were clean and neat. The wifi only worked in the dining room and the upstairs landing (which was an issue when traveling with 4 teenagers). I agree with others who kept wondering what they had done to annoy Jill. She was very sharp. Upon arrival she gathered my family... More

This B&B was beautiful and the owners were fabulous. They made a traditional Scottish breakfast (including haggis) that couldn't be beat. The rooms were very nice and clean and we slept really well in the bed. The only downfall is that it is in a neighborhood about a mile away from anything. You can take the bus, but the walk... More
