It would be nearly impossible to find fault with this guest house, which is a testament to it's owners, Sandy and Linda McAulay. They both exude class and professionalism and it permeates throughout their home. The double room was immaculate. The bathroom fixtures glistened and I believe they change the bedding every 15 minutes. There was a flat-screen tv and... more

Richard and I stayed for the first time at Sandy and Linda's home and were made so welcome. It was so comfortable and relaxing. Nothing was too much trouble for them. If anyone has any doubt or where to stay in Edinburgh please try their guest house. You will not be dissapointed. The breakfast's was lovely and the rooms so... more

My wife and I received a warm and friendly welcome on our arrival. The Braemar is one of (if not the) cleanest and tidiest establishment we have ever been to. Our room was warm, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was spotlessly clean (gleaming!). The breakfast was all we could have wished for and served with a smile. We will... more

This is a little gem located in a plush suburb of Edinburgh yet only 15 minutes by regular, frequent public bus (£2.50 all day ticket or £1.10 single) to the centre of Edinburgh and all its attractions. This was a great option as the Braemar has free car parking on the premises. Within walking distance (under 5 minutes) is Edinburgh... more

We stayed in the Braemar Guest house for two nights in September. It was a nice experience. From arrival at this lovely old house to departure we felt very welcome by Linda and Sandy who were very helpful in all matters. From riding the bus, to dinner, shopping sightseeing - you name it. Also the house is located right along... more

The Braemar Guesthouse is my favourite place to stay in Edinburgh. There are various reasons for this - but the main one is that Linda and Sandy the owners are such a delightful couple and go out of their way to make sure everything is just right for you. The property itself is perfectly located - being about 3 miles... more

Fab place to stay. Very clean, delicious breakfast and the hosts are exceedingly friendly and helpful at suggesting where to go during the day and evening. Second time I have stayed there and will definitely always stay there when I visit Edinburgh in the future Great location too. more

My wife , daughter and I stayed for 4 days at the Braemar and I would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation to others. The levels of cleanliness were outstanding as was the attentiveness of Linda and Sandy Mc Cauly who personally run the Braemar. We were also most grateful for their help and assistance in arranging trips to... more

This is a lovely guest house run by warm and friendly hosts, Sandy and Linda. They are welcoming and helpuful. The accommodation is first class. The rooms are comfortable and spacious with good facilities and spotlessly clean. The property is very pretty and well kept - Sandy's windowboxes are the first clue to the level of care and attention to... more

This is an amazing bed and breakfast. Beautiful home with very intricate decorations and lovely family made watercolor paintings. Wonderful service and delicious breakfasts with a fabulous traditional haggis. Very close to the city center, with the bus stop just steps away. Also very nice to walk around the lovely neighborhood and opportunities to experience the Corstorphine village as well.... more
