Stayed here for 2 days on a last minute trip to Scotland. I had a private room and was very pleased with the experience given the rate I paid compared to other private accommodations. Great location, though it was a bit confusing to get to due to winding streets, and just about a 5-10 minute walk from central Waverly Station.... More

It's Uni halls so I want expecting much but the floor of the apartment was so noisy, if one person was awake, everyone was awake. The beds were also pretty uncomfortable and lots of noise from outside at the weekend, although that was because of the central location. Luckily we had a jam packed and can manage without much sleep.

I booked my stay at Euro Hostel months ago to attend a Fan Fest at a posher, can't afford on my budget hotel, and specifically asked for a quiet area/room if all possible. Forget that! Whist the Euro Hostel's premises looked nice, the staff are polite, and the bedding and facilities are clean, the good points stop there! As the... More

Great location, easy to access the city but the rooms lack ventilation; the pub next door is noisy and guarantees a red eyed start to the morning ;) the common kitchens on the floors were hard to find and the definition of a private room appears to exclude a private bathroom!

Stayed here 3 nights and this hostel took away the excitement of being in Edinburgh for us. There are 4 or 5 twin rooms to one combined toilet and shower bathroom, so in the mornings and evenings you can't just go to the toilet is someone is showering and there are no mirror in the " apartment " so that... Stayed here for a few days while visiting friends. The room was very cheap, and I got a bit more than I expected. While having a very small bed, it came with a desk, a computer chair, and set of drawers, shelves and a large cupboard, all of which were greatly appreciated. The toilets and showers are clean, it's very... More

I enjoyed my stay here, however other then the staff I didn't speak to another person. There is no big communal area or anything that would bring the people together. I was in block 1 on the second floor in a section with only 5 other rooms. I had a spacious private room. Shared bathroom was fine and shared kitchen... More

The hostel is fairly central to sights and easy to get to. Staff are very friendly and although it is basic accommodation the beds were very comfortable! Free WiFi and cheap breakfast. Luggage storage was £2 as we arrived hours before checking in but they are stored the bags out of sight. Well worth staying in of you are looking... More

Right in the centre of the city, and walking distance to everywhere of interest - the castle, shops, botanic gardens, royal mile etc. cheap and cheerful but excellent value for money. Spacious kitchen area for self catering and decent size single bedrooms. Perfect for short term visitors.

I recently stayed here as part of a stag do and it was ideal for what we needed. The place is an old university halls building so the layout is still the same with each hall having multiple rooms, common room/kitchen and a couple of toilets/shower. It was all very basic but its comfortable enough and all you really need... More
