Booked three day break for two mature female friends, having seen excellent TripAdvisor reviews. Only double room available but requested twin if one becomes free nearer date of stay. Taxi from Waverley about £7, but buses 42,67 only 15 mins run every 30 mins or so into center. £1.50 pp each way. Very clean and good facilities for a guesthouse,... More

I stayed on my own at this b&b. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the room and the overall pleasant decor of the b&b. I was greeted by a friendly Brian who gave me advice and suggested a place to eat on the first night not too far away. The Old Bell was a great eatery and I didn't... More

Checked out all the stellar reviews and we had high expectations. Okay location, being on the bus line, easy to access sights in the city core nearby. We were warmly greeted by owner Brian but never really saw him again until checkout. Breakfasts were ample and fresh; coffee was terrible. Parking as part of accommodation and a common room with... I stayed here with my family for 3 days in August. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the bed was comfortable, the linens were very good quality. The en suite bathrooms are small but water pressure and temperatue was good. The wifi was fast and I was able to log easily. The owners were very helpful and gave excellent recommentdations... More

Stayed for 3 days in the family room Comfortable and home from home. Staff were lovely. Breakfasts were lovely; just a suggestion for the french toast, possibly to make it with thick cut bread as was a little soggy but it was still delicious! Also a far walk from town - not a 20minute walk. Satnav states 35mins walk but... More

We used the property two times in August while in Edinburgh. Just 20-minute walking or 10 minutes by bus (42 stops a block away) from downtown, the property is located in a quiet, full-residential area, but served by many restaurants, cafe, pizza outlets and a nice pub just a few blocks away. The rooms are absolutely quiet, comfortable and nicely... More

We had a great experience at Lauderville Guest House. It is a great value and includes free wi-fi and a fantastic home cooked full scottish breakfast. The rooms were immaculate and just be aware that the bathrooms are compact, but newer fixtures and do all the things they need to do. The shower had great pressure. Although slightly out of... More

My wife and I stayed at Lauderville for four nights. The room was immaculate, breakfasts wonderful and the owners and their son were friendly, professional and extremely helpful. Parking is available at the rear, and as it is on a bus route we did not use the car at all. A real bonus. All in all an excellent choice and... More

Excellent accommodation in beautiful Edinburgh. Brian Yvonne and Simon were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Bedroom was very nicely decorated/furnished, you had everything you could need, the bed was very comfortable and the en suite bathroom was lovely with a great shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. I would definitely recommend Lauderville Guest House, and if I ever visit... More

Booked at the last minute I thought a little trip to Edinburgh was just the ticket. I found this little gem after reading several reviews. The centre of Edinburgh seemed so much more expensive. This guest house is a little walk away. However not so near if your partner is in high heels. The room was very clean and tidy.... More
