Andrew and Karen run a beautiful guest house. Located across from a quiet park, Leith Links, it's an easy 10 minute bus ride to downtown Edinburgh. Andrew gave us great advice for attractions and restaurants and the room, breakfasts and welcome were impeccable!

Andy and Karen run a fantastic guest house and made us feel so welcome on our first visit to Edinburgh. They were so accomodating as we arrived later than expected . The friendly atmosphere at breakfast and such excellant advise on where to go and how to get there. A bus stops just down the road to get you into... More

I have been visiting the Sandaig for the last four years on a fairly regular basis and am pleased to report that Andy and Karen have maintained the same level of professionalism that Marina had developed. They are keen to please and a minor misunderstanding at check-in was dealt with speedily and to everyone's satisfaction. I tend to have the... More

This was just a one night stay but the Sandaig delivered. Warm welcome, great room, excellent location and what was a justifiably legendary breakfast. Didnt try the unidentified complementary decanter of alcohol by the bedside which is a nice touch so long as you dont have a meeting the next morning! Recommended.

The location of Sandaig is perfect. I particularly enjoyed the nice park view from my room! The breakfast was fantastic and with great variety. I personally love the omelet most! Excellent! By the way, the chief, Karen, is nice and pretty. Lastly, I greatly appreciate the warm hospitality of Andy throughout my stay. He treated us sincerely like we were... More

I'd like to give this place a great review, but it just didn't work out for us. The hosts are quite nice, the breakfast is good and the rooms are nicely decorated. But the rooms are quite small and difficult to manage if you are traveling with luggage. We were on the top floor and had to navigate two flights... More

Initial impression was not overwhelming from the outside. However, the owners were very welcoming and friendly, and quickly made me feel better about the place. The rooms have been upgraded, and whilst not the best room I have ever stayed in, was very clean and well maintained. Great breakfast, even if the times are a little rigid. The full Scottish... The couple who own this bed and breakfast, Andy and Karen, obviously care about the place and make sure that their guests are comfortable and happy. Karen was there to welcome us and showed us around the house and to our room. The room itself was gorgeous and very updated. Fastest wi-fi ever! The breakfast was lovely and the place... More

Stayed here while on a golf trip in and around Edinburgh and East Lothian. Great location for short walk to Leith bars and restaurants or short trip into Edinburgh city centre. Easy to drive to and plenty of free parking nearby. Really friendly welcome from owners and really good breakfast. Rooms are nice, stylish and individual - really clean and... More
