A great B&B in a great city. I was well looked after and the breakfast was excellent. I loved the room, the advice about places to visit and the central location. Edinburgh is a great city. We had a great time. More

My room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was made to order, and the proprietor was very helpful with booking cabs and other travel advice. The place was walking distance to town (about 20 minutes) and overall, good value for money. More

I stayed for 5 days at the Balmoral guesthouse and loved everything about it, Great rooms, great breakfast and great location. The owners Marc and Marianne are really helpful. Marianne is an author and signed a copy of her new book called The Blue Suitcase. It's a great read and I thoroughly recommend both the guesthouse and the book. More

The Balmoral Guesthouse is an excellent B&B! Marc was so kind and helpful. He assisted us in finding transportation to the airport and had nice tips for us during the entire weekend and with his great breakfast he made sure we had enough power to walk around Edinburgh all day long :)The rooms are very clean and cozy . The... More

The guest house is about a mile downhill from town and on the major bus lines. Marc & Marianne served a delicious breakfast, and the showers were wonderful with great water pressure. We loved our stay there and the space was more than we needed. It was a huge bedroom for 2 of us. More

I stayed at Balmoral Guest House for two nights with my 11-year-old daughter and extended family across the hall. We were in room 8 (?) on the top floor with a nice view of the garden and nice private bathroom just outside our room. The room was comfortable and clean with a personal feel to it. Breakfast was terrific, with... More

We all had a lovely time at the Balmoral Guesthouse which made up for the rather grey weather of Scotland. We had a large family room on the first floor which we all loved and breakfast was fab. We were given great tips by Marc about places to take the children. There are late supermarkets and lovely restaurants just around... More

This is a lovely house in the heart of Edinburgh, near to all the attractions. Marc and Marianne are great hosts and they done a fantastic job in decorating the house in great style but still keeping all the original features of a 150 year old building. However, be assured that the bathrooms are totally up to date. If only... More
