This B&B is a fine example of the reason why i prefer to stay in B&Bs rather than in large hotels - friendly owners who went out of our way to make us feel at home, and a beautiful old building tastefully 'modernised'. Comfy beds, clean rooms, quiet location, a view of Arthur's seat from the room and a very... More

My wife and I spent four nights at the Ceilidh-Donia. Personalized service, wonderful location and delicious breakfasts. We were thrilled by our time in Scotland and the Ceilidh-Donia was a good part of that. Max and Annette are gracious hosts. Max went the extra mile to retrieve and return our misplaced cell-phone when we realized we'd left it behind as... More

Our first trip to Scotland and I picked the hotel via trip advisor reviews. We were absolutely delighted. Annette & Maxx were great hosts who looked after us so well. The room was really quiet and spacious and had everything we could need. Tea & coffee making facilities and all the toiletries you could wish for. The food was excellent... More

This was our first trip to Scotland and my husband selected this B&B based on the Trip Advisor Reviews. Annette and Max were attentive host and hostesses but best of all, the pup kept watch over us. The B&B is just a short drive into the gorgeous city of Edinburgh and a 30 minute walk. We did try both means... More

this hotel is amazing, we only stayed for two nights but would definitely return. the rooms were clean and had everything you need - i think my shower was brand new. toiletries were lovely - shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, soap, flannel, cotton buds, cotton pads; hairdryer, kettle with ample tea & coffee, flat screen tv and an electric... Myself and four friends stayed at this hotel for 2 nights over the weekend of 11 May, it was the start of our Scottish adventure and i don't think we could have picked a better place to stay in the whole city, for the price it cost and for the standard of facillities and service, we were met with a... I am so glad that I checked TripAdvisor and booked this hotel for our recent two night stay in Edinburgh. We had a fabulous experience at this hotel. Let me start by saying that this was my fourth time in Edinburgh, and we had a car, so we did NOT want to stay extremely close to the Royal Mile or... More

What a great find !! Lovely clean room, comfortable bed & nice linens, bathroom with super shower & warming towel rack. Large Breakfast menu was included in the price. We had no trouble with the parking. Very quiet location & we were able to walk to see all the attractions in 15 - 20 minutes. Great pub nearby for dinner... More

We made a mistake relying on previous readers' assessment that this hotel was conveniently located near the centre of town. It is not. The closest bus stop is two blocks away and depending on the time of the day, your wait can easily be 15 minutes. Another 12-15 minutes to the centre of town. If you plan to have dinner... More

The only thing stopping me giving this hotel 5 star rating is the lack of car parking space, We were very very lucky when we arrived on Sunday afternoon that a space right outside the hotel became available as we arrived, there is no car park and it's just pot luck on the surrounding roads! However the Hotel itself was... More

OOPS, sorry about the parking but it does say on our Website that there is Free on street parking and unfortunately we cant guarantee a space, we do however have one space with the additional space in front of this so we can take two cars, also we are just at the edge of the City Center Parking Meters menace,...
