We booked two rooms and loved our stay. They really know how to run a Hotel. Great made to order breakfast included. First rate service, and the showers are air induced. You will love them. Short walk to bus line into town. Would stay again in a second.

We stayed here for only one night - if only we could have stayed for longer! The room was comfortable with a very large bed. A great nights sleep in this quiet street only a short way from the city centre. The small friendly bar was ideal for our small group of friends. Breakfast was all freshly cooked with plenty... More

We stayed at Ceilidh-Donia for 4 nights to visit the city of Edinburgh. It was just the right place for a city trip: great shower, soft and comfy beds, tasty breakfast. The hotel was in a nice, quiet neighborhood, away from the city centre (but you can get to the bridge by a 20-30 minute walk or 10-15 mins by... More

We wanted a nice quiet break away, this b n b gave us that. A lovely old building about 20 min walk from the centre of Edinburgh or you can get a bus its easy enough. We were on the second floor up 2 flights of steep stairs with a view of Arthurs seat you could see crazy people up the... More

We stayed for just one night but wish we could have stayed longer. The huge bed was just divine and I can honestly say I had the best night's sleep in over 6 months! Such a cosy duvet, sumptuous pillows and so much room! It was, however, worth getting out of bed for the breakfast which was cooked to order... More

We stayed at Hotel Ceilidh-Donia for two nights. Upon arrival our host was very friendly and able to provide us with a map and information about good places to eat. We ended up going to a local pub, the Salisbury Arms, which was a lot of fun! The room was very nice and spacious for a three bed room. Breakfast... More

Our recent 4 night stay was a treat. Annette, Maxx and staff ensured our visit was memorable, providing, comfortable, clean room and an en-suite that included a wealth of bathroom accessories. The bottled water provided in the room was very welcome along with the tea and coffee making facilities. This Hotel provides excellent value for money. Each day started with... More

Stayed for 3 nights and can unreservedly recommend the experience. Friendly welcome, efficient service, clean room (with excellent shower) and good breakfasts - can particularly vouch for the kippers. Also has an intimate bar for a pre or post dinner drink. Convenient for walking into centre of Edinburgh (25/30 minutes) or picking up regular bus services into the city. Friendly... More

Very good value for a pleasant if slightly "quirky" hotel. Very well situated in a lovely part of Edinburgh. We received a very warm welcome and found the room to be spotlessly clean and well equipped. Breakfast was great - our only negative being the lack of a lift!

We chose this hotel from the Trip Advisor recommendations and it didn't disappoint. An excellent breakfast every morning , served by attentive and cheery staff set us up for the day. Our room was nicely appointed and clean and the management were helpful without being intrusive. We would definitely return!!

Dear Revieweee Many Moons of thanks for a Fabby Review of the Hotel Ceilidh-Donia, which is in fact two different words that being a would be Poet and Scottish I assumed that I had the right to put them together. A Ceilidh in Scotland is usually associated with a Guid Nicht Oot to celebrate our Scottish/Gaelic dancing heritage. When I... More
