We spent two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was plenty big enough for the two of us, and the tall ceilings made it feel much more spacious. The decor was very well done - lots of lights and dimmers gave it a special feel. The location is good: our room faced the street, but it was... More

We stayed here at the end of October, managing to hit a cold & wet patch of weather. The hotel was warm enough, so that was good. We stayed in the triple room, which was good value for money. However, it's at the top of the house and the higher flight of stairs is steep, narrow and slopes outwards, contributing... More

Hi there, Thanks for taking time to leave us your thoughts. First of all, I would like to clarify that we have responded to your complaints. As for the blinking ceiling light, I tried a new light bulb but it didn't work so I called the electrician. However, the electrician only managed to come in the following week. And for... More

This place is not exactly in the immediacy of the city centre, but well situated considering the bus connections. It is also not too expensive to take a taxi, and me and my friend also tested the journey by foot with 10kg backpacks, so it is not impossible to walk. Has some nice restaurants and simple pubs near by. The... More

This hotel really is excellent value for money with comfortable, clean and spacious rooms (Room 2). It is little way out of the centre but we walked it in about 30 minutes to arrived and enjoyed a more leisurely stroll back into Edinburgh the next day. We loved it so much we've already booked to return!

Stayed overnight with my husband as we were going to see wicked at the playhouse . Further from the centre than we thought 8-10 pounds in a taxi we had 4 taxi journeys during out stay so added some expense. We could have got the bus but weather wasn't great . We arrived early at hotel out room was ready... More

Had a nice weekend in the city. The place is a little bit out of the hustle bustle area of the city centre but is only a 20- 30 minute walk in or use the buses which provide a great service and are very accessible. The room was great with lovely facilities and the breakfast in the morning was excellent.... More

I still can't believe just how good the hotel is for the money. Staff very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Public areas spic and span, nicely done with cosy bar and internet area. My bedroom was amazing, incredibly comfortable, with character and tastefully decorated. Breakfast excellent - choice and quality. The location is a little out of the centre, but very... More

My partner and I had decided to stay here after the reviews on trip advisor, and we weren't disappointed. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with a friendly welcome along with bus directions into the city. It was very easy to get into the city via bus which takes 10 minutes. The room itself was very clean,... More

Very good room with everything clean and you can find all you need for your stay (kettle, teas and coffee included). Perfect position in the city and good bus connection with the hotel. Nice staff and great breakfast choosing an hot meal as well.

This hotel is small with 17 rooms, and has been established as a converted terraced house. The style and approach are a little bit different, but the package most certainly works. The room I had was small but very comfortable. The bed was unusually good for a hotel of any size! Wifi was very reliable. Only criticism I would make... More
