We had a great long weekend also because of this nice and original guest house. The bedroom downstairs has nice lounge area. Spotless room and bathroom, with Comfortable bed, tv, iPod doc. Only negative side for this room as it is down the entrance, some noises for people walking in and out (wooden floor) Great breakfast: scotish cooked one is... More

This was our second visit to Fraoch House in Edinburgh and again we were pleased we had chosen to spend 4 nights with Gareth as our host.A very busy time over Easter and Gareth excelled again in making our stay memorable. The ultimate host!

A very nice B&B with superb breakfast (potato waffles an instant favourite!) including berries and fruit, a great start each day. Bus stop just outside the door, walking distance appr 25 min to the Royal Mile. And lovely people working there, helpful and very friendly! Lovely room, the bed was a bit hard for our taste, but they seem to... More

Around a 20-30 minute walk to the Royal Mile. Very friendly hosts - Kat and Gareth were lovely and very helpful. We stayed in a twin room with a separate (private) bathroom. Bathroom was great - big with very soft towels and great toiletries. Room was small but lovely, good tea/coffee making facilities and little treats left for us every... More

Enjoyed staying here. Host is very friendly. Breakfast is great (the fresh fruits were great). Only the double sheets didn't match the bed. City centre is not far away. We can recommend this place. Thank you.

Gareth runs a great B&B with comfortable rooms and wonderful breakfasts, and is very helpful with planning sightseeing and restaurant visits. We loved the efficient, modern en suite bathroom in our room, and appreciated the early continental breakfast he provided when our flight schedule required an early departure before the regular breakfast time.

We stayed at the Froach House in April and could not have been more pleased. Gareth was kind and extremely helpful as this was our first trip to Scotland. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was phenomenal. It is a very easy walk/bus ride into town.

This wasn't our first choice but was glad we ended up there! Gareth was a great host and very helpful with recommendations and other info for our stay in Edinburgh. This place is on a street full of B & Bs. Easy parking on street, about a 15 min walk from the Royal Mile, comfortable room, and a modern bathroom... More

I chose the city for my fiftieth based on which one had a b&b with an almost perfect trip advisor record. I was not disappointed. A very friendly Scottish owner and other good staff. The breakfasts in particular were superb - wide selection of fresh fruit, lovely sausages, smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel, filter coffee. Very nice bedroom with... More

A fantastic guest house in every way. Gareth is a superb host, friendly, reliable and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are individually decorated, comfortable and with attention paid to little details, it makes you feel welcome, considered and comfortable from the moment you walk in the door. Breakfast is hearty and made fresh to order with a fine... More
