Last minute decision to go for Hogmanay but needed a reasonable hotel near the centre, this fitted the bill ( some hotels were asking astronomical prices) although after booking I read the reviews and was a bit concerned. I needn't have worried, I arrvied late, train delays, but to a very warm SXcoittish welcome, I was warned the room was... More

Lovely comfortable bed - good facilities in the room. Shower needed attention (never used a shower like it). The double socket with the air freshener plugged in was away from the wall - very dangerous. Great cooked breakfast especially the haggis.

I stayed in this B&B two nights. I am so impressed with the service. The person running the B&B is kind and was more than willing to help. The guest house is located in a pretty good spot --- a 10 minute (fast walk) or 15 min (slow walk) to Princess street, up a hill, where you will find the... More

Had a lovely enjoyable week in the Abercraig Guest House. The room was very clean and tidy and the hospitality and food was exceptional, would highly recommend to family and friends. Very close to the city centre.

Stayed on a Sunday night just for one night in a single room. Really friendly welcome from Stacey, bed was super comfy and the full Scottish breakfast was top-notch, a great way to start the day :) Would definitely return - close enough to the centre but away enough that it was a peaceful nights sleep!

Friendly service - received an upgrade free of charge. Very helpful, and a decent breakfast served. Free parking in the area not fantastic, and room and bathroom were a little tired, but overall a good place to stay :)

I had a room booked but the hotel never had space so moved me next door. The hotel i was moved to was very poor wit stained towels and a rubbish breakfast. This isn't the fault of this hotel but it was as a result of the overbooking. When i complained via there webpage about the poor replacement i never... More

Stayed here for one night with my boyfriend and the service was fantastic! The owner (I think) Pamela was the nicest women ever, so welcoming and friendly, recommending places where we could go for drinks. The room was lovely, nothing too fancy but still great for what we needed and it's only a 15 minute walk roughly to loads of... More

The room was too small for double occupation. One side of the bed was accessed by climbing from the end, the other side had a bedside unit which could not be used as the drawer hit the radiator. When we arrived tea making facilities were provided for only 1 person. The room was clean but tired. Door handle was falling... More

We were a bit dismayed by this report as all our diuble rooms are very large as you can see from our pics, we do not have any cupboards in the that hit radiators, we always have extra towels in the rooms, our staff stay on the premises and are available to aid with any problems, when they leave the... Great stay at the Abercraig for the new year. Jamie and his staff are great hosts and work hard at making your stay an enjoyable one. Very spacious double room ( number 5) on the first floor. Genuine warm welcome on arrival, Jamie helped me with local parking and carried our case up to our room. Great breakfast with black... More
