Stayed here for one night with my boyfriend and the service was fantastic! The owner (I think) Pamela was the nicest women ever, so welcoming and friendly, recommending places where we could go for drinks. The room was lovely, nothing too fancy but still great for what we needed and it's only a 15 minute walk roughly to loads of... More

The room was too small for double occupation. One side of the bed was accessed by climbing from the end, the other side had a bedside unit which could not be used as the drawer hit the radiator. When we arrived tea making facilities were provided for only 1 person. The room was clean but tired. Door handle was falling... More

We were a bit dismayed by this report as all our diuble rooms are very large as you can see from our pics, we do not have any cupboards in the that hit radiators, we always have extra towels in the rooms, our staff stay on the premises and are available to aid with any problems, when they leave the... Great stay at the Abercraig for the new year. Jamie and his staff are great hosts and work hard at making your stay an enjoyable one. Very spacious double room ( number 5) on the first floor. Genuine warm welcome on arrival, Jamie helped me with local parking and carried our case up to our room. Great breakfast with black... More

I booked a room at very short notice for my brother. Owner Jaime was very helpful in trying to meet his request of a ground floor room (he has trouble with stairs) and stayed up and waited for his arrivial even though it was after the check in time b and b listed in terms of booking. He enjoyed his... More

Was in Edinburgh for 4D3N, though it's at the bottom of a hill, it's definitely a good place to stay. the stroll back to the BnB is the best part of all. Clean BnB and good for solo female traveller. Also good service, friendly manager and staff!

I was given a basement room the size of a shoe box. I could barely open my suitcase and kept banging against the bed and the furniture, due to the lack of space. Now for the fun the part! The toilet flushing system is so primitive, nothing like I have seen before anywhere in the world. It made startling/scary noises... More

We spent two nights here and enjoyed our stay. Jamie is a wonderful host and does everything he can to make his guests feel comfortable and at home. We stayed in Room 5 which overlooks the street. There is a large bay window and the room is very light and airy. The king size bed was very comfortable. The bathroom... More

My brother and I stayed for a couple of nights mostly for the Fringe Festival. Yes this BnB is situated at the bottom of a long hill up into the Fringe action, but the downhill roll back home was fun and a little sobering after all the action of the shows, pubs and oh yeah more pubs. We lunched at... More

This B & B is located an easy walk downhill from Princes St (or a bus ride uphill) but restaurants and pubs are nearby if you are footsore after a day's walking. Another plus is that it has sensible check in/out times. The single rooms are small but adequate and the manager Jamie is extremely helpful and friendly.
