stayed there for a rugby week-end,we paid 245 pounds for 2 nights b/b. Receptionist from latvia was very nice, room 32, really basic, very old carpet, dirty ceiling , not greatly insulated based on condensation on old windows- noisy from the road as well. Bathroom very small, toilet did not flush properly, and impossible to get water at the right... more

This hotel lived up to it's expectations, for £40 per night we didn't expect much but we only wanted a place to sleep while we enjoyed the sights of Edinburgh. The location was fantastic, just a few hundred yards from Haymarket station and a 15 minute walk into the city centre. The staff were friendly however, we were not informed... more

My room had no hot water in the morning, extension leads trailing out of the wardrobe and alongside the bed. The bed was completely uncomfortable with springs sticking in my back. The heating was poor, even sleeping dressed and with my jumper and coat over my, I was still too cold to sleep properly. The latch on the door was... more

I stayed at this hotel with my friend. 1st night we stayed in a 1 bed bedroom (our own fault), the next morning we could check in a much larger room with 2 beds. It wasn't the fanciest hotel we ever stayed in, but we got a lot more than we expected for this little money! Very friendly staff. No... more

We stayed for a night and it was horrible. We check on the web and was supposed to have available double room for 45 pounds. Arriving at the reception they told us that there was only three-bed room for 55 pounds. Going towards the room which was in the underground floor we saw scratched walls and the doors being kept... more

Paid £160 a night for the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Room was in an annex which I think must have been an old student flat. Dirty, drab entrance, filthy carpet, room had large and very tatty 'living room' with integral kitchen with sink but no running water! Room had been sold as an 'ensuite'. Bathroom was outside... more

Stayed for one night after oasis concert in triple room. Third bed was a plaster board make shift bed. But the most appalling thing i have ever seen in a hotel room is 3 mouse traps!!!!!! Under the bed, in the bathroom and one by the tea/coffee table! The bathroom was really smelly and filthy, and after finding mouse traps,... more
