The view from our attic skylight was great, the proprietor was welcoming and friendly, breakfast was lovely. That's my review, I don't need two hundred characters! And ' couples 'doesn't mean a romantic holiday...we are over 60s...no category that caters!

I have stayed at the Strathallan many times in the past 10 years with groups from my school. Eamonn is a wonderful host who is very helpful and courteous. The ladies who work for him cook a wonderful, tasty breakfast and are very nice and helpful in every way. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable, and all are... More

We stayed for 3 days. Location isn't in the centre but very good accessible for 15 min walks. The meadows and Holyrood park are very close. The housekeeper and staff are friendly. We enjoyed our stay.

Although on our return to the guest house later in the evening, there was no parking space available and the proprietor (when requested) had to put his car in the garage so I could park. Had he... What an amazing surprise for low price! Couldn't believe it was REAL :-) We've been cordially received, a quiet house even close at the street. Nothing to hear and still close enough to the connecting bus-stop. Staff was just so lovely that I sure will return next year!

Enjoyed two nights here recently. The rooms were clean and large with basic facilities. Close to the city centre with a number of local pubs and restaurants all within walking distance. Host was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good and all in all good value for money. A little extra work such as fixing the temperamental shower regulators and cleaning... More

This is a lovely old Edinburgh house built in 1820 with high moulded ceilings and a stained glass window on the stairs. The folk are very friendly and helpful and cook a lovely breakfast. The rates are very reasonable (we paid £80 B&B for an en suite triple room.) It is a short walk to the park to walk (Holyrood,... More
