This is a great B&B. The location, room, breakfast, and rate cannot be beat. It is short bus ride from the street corner to the Old Edinburgh. There is a good pub just up the street. Good prices for food and beer. Great Place!!! more

This B & B is not in the heart of Edinburgh, but is an easy 10 minute bus ride into the city center -- buses run very frequently. Our hostess oriented us immediately upon arrival to the bus schedules -- the bus stop is a block away. The room was quite roomy and quiet, and the breakfasts were excellent. Much... more

Our 10-day visit to Edinburgh was enhanced by the hospitality of Dawn-Ann and Tony at AmarAgua Guest House. The property is conveniently located on major bus routes to downtown and to other attractions in the area. Rooms are well-appointed and comfortable. Breakfast is substantial and fresh, and takeaway meals are provided if you are leaving early on tours. The only... more

This was the absolute best place we have stayed in. Tony and Dawn-Anne were fantastic from the first greeting to the farewell. Their advice on Edinburgh was a time saver and they know the great places to eat. Don't waste time looking for alternatives, stay here. more

This guesthouse was in a very nice location--near to bus routes, but also near enough to pubs and pizza joints for a quiet evening. Internet access available at no extra cost, which was a big bonus on this trip. The room was large, spacious and tastefully decorated. Our room had a twin bed and a queen bed, with great mattresses... more

We stayed at Amaragua in October 2008 and we had a great time. Tony and Dawn were very helpful and knowledgeable about the city and nothing was a problem for them. We definitely recommend this guest house to all travellers that are going to Edinbrugh. more

One of the highlights of our trip to the UK this past summer was our 2 day visit to Edinburgh. Our three night stay at the AmarAgua Guest House was a major factor in making that visit so special. Our hosts, Tony and Dawn-Ann, were very gracious, knowledgeable, and helpful. The accomodations were impeccable and beautifully appointed. The breakfast was... more

We stayed for 3 nights here. Our room was comfortable and very clean and the owners very nice and helpful. The particular room that we stayed in (a double en suite) was kind of cramped but still very nice. We arrived pretty late on our first night, but we were greeted and provided with tons of local information and maps.... more

Just returned from Scotland. This was our first stay in a guest house and we were very pleased with the AmarAqua Guest House. Edinburgh was our base for this trip. On arrival, which was too early for check-in, we were given a city map and a directions for using the public buses. The host allowed us to leave our bags... more

My wife and I have just returned from spending a weekend at the Amar Agua Guest House, during which time we celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary. On our arrival we were graciously greeted by Dawn-Ann, shown to our accommodation and provided with an abundance of local information. Our room, which was on the top floor, was beautifully decorated, en suite,... more
