I had a wonderful stay at the Craigmoss Guest House recently. I actually stayed in two different rooms (left for a few days and then came back), and both were lovely, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast each morning was both delicious and plentiful (I tried both the traditional Scottish breakfast and the porridge). The hosts were friendly and helpful. The... More

I have been in this business for 15 years and why if guests are unhappy with something in the guest house they don't say at the time. How does this happen to a minority of guests when all our other visitors say quite the opposite, we are only too happy to deal with any issues people have. It is a... More

We stayed here for a bank holiday weekend - the location is great, 20 mins walk from the centre, or a short bus ride, and the owners were friendly and helpful. We had the room on the ground floor and didn't have any of the issues with noise that another reviewer did. Breakfast was great.

We made this our base for our stay in Edinburgh. We received a really warm welcome and were instantly made to feel very comfortable. Our room was perfect for us, and had everything we needed. It is only a short walk into town and was really easy to find. The beds were so comfortable, my friend was keen to take... More

My mum and I came to Craigmoss guest house as we were visiting my twin sister who lives close by. The owners were very welcoming and they were very helpful in answering questions. It was very handy having a bus stop right across the road and having been born in Edinburgh and living here for quite a few years, we... More

Bit dicey the stairs the stairs curved 38 of them. Landlord kindly suggested leave our big cases downstairs as only booked in for 2 nights. Very comfortable room. Good well cooked breakfast. Well presented. Agree very handy to buses.

While the owner is quite nice and friendly, our room was unsanitary (dirty bathroom, particularly the shower, including hair on the walls, probably from previous visitors), and unfortunately no improvement after having signalled it. If you absolutely have to book a room here, make sure you don't get the ground floor room - very noisy and no intimacy, with the... More

We chose Craigmoss because it was dog friendly and had good reviews by other guests on Trip Advisor. We wanted to find somewhere that was fairly close to Edinburgh city centre that was also good value. We were delighted with our choice. The owners gave us a great warm welcome, our room was immaculate and had everything that we needed.... More

I have just come back from a weekend at Craigmoss with my wife. It is very clean warm and comfortable and in a quiet side street. The breakfast is lovely and the host very welcoming. The bus stop on the other side take you into the centre of town and runs every 15mins. A day ticket cost £3.50 and can... More

Welcoming hosts, good amenities, nice decor, spotlessly clean, great breakfast, good location, free wifi, desk to work at, plenty of free tea and coffee,15-20 mins stroll to city centre and very good value. Highly recommended!
