Our 3 generation family of 7 recently stayed at Priestville for 3 nights, and were delighted with the 4 clean, comfortable rooms on the 1st floor adjacent to each other. Two were en-suite and the other two rooms shared a bathroom. There was plenty of room to spread out and plan our activities, and Colin provided lots of information on... More

My boyfriend and I arrived on a Friday night, after 9pm. Having been in touch with the owners beforehand they stayed up to both welcome us into their home and guesthouse. After a lovely greeting we were given maps and more than adequate low down on the surrounding areas and tourist attractions - including bus routes and restraunt reccommendations. We... More

6 of us stayed here and we all had a great time. Colin is a lovely bloke and went out of his way to help us. We checked in late as we were playing at the jazz bar and we didn't get back until 4am! Colin let us have breakfast a bit later than his usual breakfast time and also... More

The Priestville is a a true home from home only better. It is grand, characterful and offers comfy accommodation at a very reasonable rate. There are some stunning architectural features in the building which include an apexed roof light on the landing which is a joy to look at. Other lovely features include beautifully kept corniced ceilings and stunning fireplaces.... More

This is a beautiful little family run guest house. Colin & Trina are extremely friendly people & Colin goes out of his way when you first arrive to give you all the info (maps) you need in getting around the city I.e bus routes & restaurants saving you a fair bit of money. The rooms are spotlessly clean with all... More

Stayed during the England V Scotland weekend and rather than pay the outlandish prices for the Premier inn opted for the guest house. Colin prepared our room early as I rang the day before to say we would be in Edinburgh after an overnight stay elsewhere. Breakfast menus sorted straight away. Information given with maps of restaurants etc and advice... More

Hate writing poor reviews but did not have good experience here. The place is clean but I was very cold at night... Thought I would warm up after a while but is had to get the extra blanket out of the wardrobe and that didn't really do the job and the mattress was too hard. Not a comfortable sleep if... More

We had an excellent stay at this lovely place in November. The B&B is in a great location - just far enough out of the city centre but still walking distance so it is quite a quiet area, but there are regular buses which are pretty cheap and stop very near to the guest house. We were really happy with... More

Me and two of my friends all aged 21 just spent Hogmanay at this lovely B&B. Colin was so lovely and helpful. Breakfast everyday was delicious and the hotel is perfectly situated. The area where the B&B is quiet and only a 10-15 minute walk to the town. The B&B was exceptionally clean and all facilities brilliant. There is a... More

We had a wonderful experience at the Priestville guest house. Breakfast was fantastic with fresh poached eggs, Haggis if you want it, a giant plate of smoked salmon and many other options. The location is just outside the main part of the old city and it was easy to walk anywhere or take the bus. Colin, the owner set up... More
