Well i heard a lot so decided to stay in this four star hotel! The most annoying part was, it was my third/last day in hotel and we were really tired by visiting city n other places! we wanted to sleep til 10 am but about 7.30/8am, a noise started coming from next room and we couldnt sleep at all!... more

Stayed here between Christmas and New Year to visit the attractions on Princes Street. The hotel is out a bit from the city centre but you can get very frequent buses from Lothian Road to Princes Street and back for £2 day ticket. The Grassmarket is just around the corner and has ample pubs and eating places. Found the room... more

On arrival was impressed by reception staff, quick and efficient, The room was very nice and clean, only downfall was shortage of clothes hanging space and only one drawer to put anything. The worse thing about Novotel was the service at breakfast we had eaten our breakfast before i had to ask for tea and coffee then only got a... more

Very nice Hotel, only 10 minutes walk to Princess Street!!! The only thing I do not recommend is that you do not stay there if youhave a car because EVERYTIME you EXIT the car park it costs you £10!!!!!!!!!! So if you have to go out into the city 3 times a day you have to pay £30.00 for parking!!!!!... more

This was our second stay at the Novotel and I would recommend it as long as you can get a "deal". The prices advertised in reception are extortionate and it is hard to imagine anyone paying them. We paid £430 for two double superior rooms for two nights (Friday & Saturday) and we felt this was good value. Originally we... more

I found the hotel to be very pleasant. The facilities were well above average and impeccably clean. I always book through lastminute.com and a lot of hotels place such customers in a hotel of a lesser standard, Novotel did not. I was leaving at 7am and so booked breakfast for 6am in my room. It was pricey but I wasn't... more

I would heartily recommend the Novotel for the following reasons: Rooms are immaculately clean, spacious and bed very comfy; Bathroom has a luxurious feel with gorgeous deep bath and speakers so you can hear radio/TV while soaking - a nice touch, I feel! However, the best part for me was the Leisure facilities: the pool, sauna and steam room were... more

An international hotel without much character, but pleasant. Rooms are OK, the hallways dank and smelt strongly of cigarette smoke even on the non-smoking floor. The internet was outrageously expensive. The cafe/restaurant understaffed and poorly run. The hotel is central but a bit off the beaten track and can be hard to find. more

This place is quite nice. The rooms are american sized and spacious. It's very clean and new. The hallways, however, are quite dingy and smelly. The beds are very comfortable and big. The staff can be quite helpful. For some reason, the foreign staff were much nicer than the native Scottish people. The internet connection is 13 pounds for 24... more
