We have just returned from this hotel , staying there for the Rugby League at Murrayfield. I was dreading it after seeing the reviews on the site, but i was pleasantly surprised. We stayed at the lodge, which is actually a house 3 blocks down from the main hotel , and were in room 305, a room at the back... more

Although this wasn't our original booking (the other hotel there was a fault in our room and they were fully booked) it turned out to be more convenient as it was on a superb bus route into the city centre, the staff were very helpfull and polite and the food was great. The room was wrongly booked as a double... more

My husband and I visited over the Easter Break, we have never been to Edinburghso were quite excited a looking forward to a good break. We booked our deal via negotiating with the hotel after seeing a cheaper offer on Expedia. The hotel has good car park space so we were glad to park safely and not on a side... more

Three friends and I stayed here and during our whole trip we could not remember one good customer service experience which is saying something as we were all male and i assure would not usually take notice of such things. Shockingly bad service in the bar were the staff seem more interested in talking to each other rather than serve... more

Clean, warm and comfortable. Very friendly, helpful staff. We stayed in the lodge which is a few doors down from the hotel. Breakfast is nice & gives you a good start to the day. A stones throw away from Murrayfield stadium which was great as we had gone up for the rugby. Would recommend and use again. more

I stayed at this B&B through a tour group for 2 nights and I would say it was a great place to stay. The B&B is located 5 minute walk to Murrayfield Stadium and about 20 minute walk to the city centre. There is a bus stop just a few metres away where you can take Bus 12 or 26... more

I have to say I was pleasently surprised when I checked into the Murrayfield Hotel. From the pictures on the hotel website I was expecting to travel back in time to the 70's but instead my room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. My room had a large double bed, tea & coffee, hairdryer, flat screen tv and a safe... more

Just came back from the Scotland V France international. This hotel is a stone throw from the stadium. You can see from the Hotel. Haymarket Station is only 10mins walk to the Hotel, and costs just £1.60 from centre of Edinburgh(Waverly). The hotel staff are all very helpful, but be warned on match days they are very busy, so busy... more
