My daughter and I visited Edinburgh for the first time in September and were lucky enough to pick this B&B located in a lovely Georgian terrace just below Charlotte Square. We had a room right at the top, twin beds, clean, light for only 60 pounds per night (30 pounds each). B reakfast is served in the beautiful dining room,... more

My husband and I stayed at 11 Moray Place over the weekend and it was perfect. Florence the Inn Keeper was lovely and very helpful. She made our dining reservations for both nights and catered to our needs and requests. Her breakfasts were outstanding. Our room was in the front of the townhouse, with huge Georgian windows and wonderful light.... more

Well first of all it wasn't actually me who stayed it was my parents but I booked it for them for their birthdays. Let me say that apparently the room (the suite on the top floor) was lovely with nice views out of every window, and was pretty central to all the sights of Edinburgh. The only trouble was the... more

Stayed one night at "A Georgian Residence" and we loved it. Booked through late room . com . For £90 we had a huge suite overlooking the rooftops of Edinburgh with a queensize bed, chaise longue and traditional furnishings, which although a bit tired in parts, contributed to the atmosphere. Little touches like the proper china cups for tea and... more

I would strongly urge you to check this place's cancellation policy - no matter for what reason, if you cancellation with less than 1 week's notice, you get the full charge made to your credit card. Shame they didn't return our call to tell us. Also, they had actually re-let the room but forgot to tell us until I chased,... more

We stayed with Jim & Florence at their B&B in Edinburgh and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The climb to the top floor of their Georgian home was a bit daunting that first day but mostly because we were carrying our suitcases. A day later we were accustomed the the steps and they had served as preparation for the ups and... more

Beautiful building, but our room was dark and dingy. Bathroom was awful and the food was a bit sketchy too I'm afraid. The couple who run it are a bit odd too. more

You really shouldn't listen to the negative reviews about this lovely guesthouse. Florence and Jim are wonderful hosts and Florence is a great cook! Breakfast is delicious and carefully prepared to order with fresh juices and fruit. Jim is a jolly chap and is happy to chat away about local attractions and restaurants etc. The room was perfectly adequate and... more

Dear Reader, First of all, we arrived at 11 Moray Place with a bit of trepidation considering the extremely good or bad reviews this Bed and Breakfast had received. I'm happy to say we had a wonderful 4 day stay and I'm at a loss to explain how anyone else could have felt hard done by. It's great value for... more

We were looking forward to staying here based on the reviews on here, the aboutscotland.com website page, and the official website. What you need to know is that the websites do NOT detail all the accommodation available, we ended up in a room on the rooftop where the windows started about 7 foot up the wall - you cannot see... more
