Stopped here about three times a year since it opened and think it is in an ideal location. The views from the Heights Restuarant are brilliant and the food always top quality. Always ask for a room with a castle view and be careful where you park your car - there are some rather large pigeons who take pleasure on... More

The staff is friendly and helpful and the location is near perfect. The beds are wonderfully soft and there's a free internet access and a printer on the first floor (which is handy when you wish to do your flight check-in in advance). Apart from the dirty towel (one out four) we were given on our third day and the... More

No drawers – stayed for three nights lived out of suitcases. Very little area to hang clothes. Shower not powerful enough to wash soap off. It was an adjoining room, could listen to the conversation of the gentleman in the next room each night. Relaxing one morning listening to three housekeepers arguing outside of our room over who got the... More

Thank you for taking the time to post your review regarding your recent stay with us. I was very disappointed to read that we failed to meet your expectations on this occasion. Our wardrobes offer both hanging and shelving options for storage, I'm sorry if this was not adequate for your stay. I have shared your comments with my Management... More

Overall really pleased with this hotel, Reception staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome from the start. Maintenance staff fixed a faulty shaver socket within 12 hours of it being reported with no fuss at all, so all in all positive. 4 star rating is more a reflection on the room getting to the point where it could... Overall a very poor stay. Arrived at the hotel to find people sleeping on the stairs leading up to the reception desk. Didn't think much of it at the time, or of finding that the hotel had left complimentary earplugs in our room. We had booked a Superior room as they all have a view of the castle. What a... More

Modern and comfortable this hotel benefits from its view of Edinburgh Castle and over the Grassmarket. The Gym is tiny but the small pool was a pleasure to swim in. Great breakfast and good conferencing facilities. Well located for walking to the EICC or the Golden Mile. More

On arriving earlier than the check in time, I was surprised to find that my room was available. I had no problem finding a space for my car in the car park and returned to the reception desk for my room key. Whilst the extremely friendly receptionist booked me in she asked if I had stayed with Apex Hotels before.... More

APEX International was a great stay for my family of 3 in a city double double room. The staff is FANTASTIC, really, every one of them went out of their way for us and could not have been friendlier. The central makes it so easy to tour and find restaurants. The breakfast was awesome, the view of Edinburgh castle towering... More

Spotless, well-appointed rooms right in the middle of the Grassmarket - perfect. Despite the location, the rooms were quiet. Staff friendly and helpful, and always with a smile on their faces. We would definitely stay there again. Oh, and, breakfast - excellent, with great haggis! More
