My husband and I together with another couple stayed at Gerald's Place for 3 nights. Gerald made us feel completely at ease in his beautiful home, surrounded by wonderful artwork and a homely comfortable atmosphere. Wonderful home cooked breakfasts - nothing was too much trouble. Warm and welcoming, anticipated every need. Superb copious breakfast with special attention to personal requests. Tour reservations were made for us and a list of restaurants with ratings was available as well as suggestions to all the top attractions in this beautiful city. The only bad thing about Gerald's is that we had to leave after our 3 day stay. more

There are no end of good things to say about Gerald's Place: it's comfortable and quiet and nevertheless conveniently near anyplace you might want to go in Edinburgh's new or old towns. I would have no trouble going on, but in the end the best thing about Gerald's Place is Gerald himself. You won't find a more dedicated and charming... more

My husband and I had the great pleasure of staying at Gerald's Place in Edinbough, Scotland. Upon arrival we were greeted my this most gracious man, Gerald. From the warm welcome to the thoughtful touches in both the rooms, and throughout the visit, it was a perfect base for visiting Edinburgh. You feel at home since you cross the door after a warm welcome by Gerald. Building is really nice and location is superb, just outside of the noise (in front of a beautiful garden) but a short walk from the centre. Rooms are fully equipped and warmly decorated.
