We stayed more than two weeks and have nothing but good things to say about Pollock Halls. Responsive, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Breakfast and dinner included. The grounds are beautiful, with many flowers and trees. Fast wi-fi in the rooms. Handy laundry. Highest marks.

Stayed here recently whilst visiting Edinburgh to tour the University, and was surprised by some of the poor reviews, especially that some reviewers didn't appear to realise they were staying in the University Halls of Residence. Given that it is a Hall of Residence, it provides great accommodation, decent breakfasts and a lovely location (right by Arthur's Seat) for a... More

I spent a few days at Pollock Halls and really enjoyed my visit. The room had everything I needed: a clean bed, a clean bathroom and enough space for my stuff. The bed was small...basically just for one person...but it was all I needed and was comfortable. The room was quiet and no more noisy than any hotel which I've... More

Extremely surprised to be allocated a LG disabled access room with no view! Was pleased that staff (Ali) was so helpful in changing mine to a normal room on the ground floor with some view of Arthur's Seat. It was a relief to have changed room! Also, the swipe key didn't work well on several occasions. Meal times was not... More

Basic student accomodation - very clean - worth staying in as a base for your visit. Easy walking distance from Waverley train station and central Edinburgh. Staff were very friendly and accomodating - only poor aspects would be that the walls are quite thin so makes for a noisy morning (dependant on your neighbours), and my room was quite cold,... More

I stayed at the Edinburgh first Pollock hall accomodation and was very impressed with the quality of the place, I would recommend the accomodation to any aspiring student or like myself visitor to Edinborough.I was visiting the area for the Scottish airshow just outside Dunbar and had hastily booked accomodation, I was more than impressed with the accomodation but also... Pollock Halls is in fact the campus of University of Edinburgh, where several dormitories are available for general public as hotel rooms in summer months. Stayed 1 night in Chancellor's Court B. Room was small but clean and overall ok, twin beds only as student room. Parking is limited, but having read earlier reviews about it we arrived at 11... More

Pollock Halls is a student accommodation available to tourists in summer months. I had an opportunity to stay there for a night during my recent visit to Edinburgh. It was a wonderful opportunity to get the university campus feeling back! Thank you Pollock Halls for providing this experience to me! I will be back soon. Accommodation is available for individuals,... More

This accommodation is really reasonably priced, the breakfast is phenomenal and the location is great but the noise will put me off going again. They seem to value big noisy groups over individual guests. This was the third visit for one of my party but she also won't be staying again. We complained about the late night noise from the...
