This B&B is located very close to Princess Street and Ediburgh Castle and I found it very comfortable. The rooms are of good size and bright, with nice, clean sheets and the bathrooms quite modern and well maintained. William and Honor, who run the place are extremely friendly and helpful. William knows a thing or two about scotch, so enjoyed... more

Very pleasant hosts, accommodating and helpful. Guest house is very conveniently located close to the main visitor attractions in Edinburgh. Some reviewers complain about having to walk your luggage up 3 flights of stairs, but you're giving fair warning and if you travel light this is no problem. Very good value for the money. When we're in Edinburgh again (and... more

The managers were very welcoming and the rooms we had were very comfortable and well furnished, clean and good quality. We had a double room and a single room, both with a view up to the castle. The location is excellent. We did think, however, that the breakfast was a bit disappointing - the toast arrived well ahead of everything... more

Stayed here two nights in the balmoral room, great view of the castle and other sites especially at night the views were great. I requested a castle view room as only rooms at the front have the view, so if you do want a good view of the sites request a room at the front its well worth it, Breakfast... more

We've been slow to write this, but the unfortunate memory will stay with us forever. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN BOOKING AT THIS HOTEL NOT TO BE PUT IN THE BACK ROOM WITH NO "CASTLE VIEW!" If you cannot be guaranteed one of the real Castle View rooms, you're taking a big chance you'll get a dark, cramped, inferior room with... more

We stayed at Castleview on Hallowe'en and originally chose it because of the proximity to the castle. the rooms were great, location was perfect, breakfast however left a lot to be desired. We went down to the breakfast room and there were 2 other tables already there and already eating. 2 other tables arrived about 10 minutes after us and... more

The Beverly is the best B&B ever, it provides everything you could think of and it is right in the centre of town so it is only a wee walk away to the Castle. The hotels bedrooms are lovley and clean and neatly presented, with a great view and lots of space. The owners are lovely people and are happy... more

I have been sending friends and family to Castle View guest house for quite a long time, always with satisfaction, so I'd like to consider myself as a valued costumer. I originally booked 3 nights for my parents (2 nights first, then we'd be one night in the Highlands and then an extra night at Castle View) 3 months ago,... more

Upon arrival the place was really nice and welcoming. The staff were realy friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and neat. We were assigned the Burn room, such a nice view on the castle. I liked it so much so did my partner. I requsted and booked the room a month before our arrival. On the second day and without any... more
