The Princes St Edinburgh hotel is approached along grimy Meuse Lane, but once inside the door everything is fine. Reception staff excellent and the room outstanding. The view of the Old Town was so remarkable that it elevates this room up into the very best I have had in a long experience of travelling.

Ok, so you have to walk down a sketchy alley way lined with dumpsters to get here, but once inside it's like entering the promise land. Don't let the entrance perturb you from staying at this oasis. For spectacularly low prices we had a clean, lovely room on the 7th floor with AMAZINGG views of the city and Calton hill.... More

The hotel was very central, and the room was very clean and comfortable I will visit this hotel again in July with my family. The service given by the staff was good and they were very helpful. In other words good value for money

Location is very good for Princes Street. The room was adequate and clean and the staff very helpful. Take the tour bus ride which starts just across the road outside the station as you can hop on and off as you wish. We got off at the Castle which is well worth a couple of hours of your time. The... Stayed at loads of Traveodge sites across the country. This one is in a great location with lovely large rooms and great batch room and fittings. Staff very helpful. Would highly recommend this one. Though be aware of the dire entrance alley to access the building it is like something from Hogwarts....... you feel like your going through the back... More

Excellent location. Quite cheap for the location. Room was cosy and warm. Decent shower. Decent sized room. The bed was a good size. The guy at reception was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend to my friends! :)

You can pay many times the price we paid for this hotel in the very centre of Edinburgh but you will not get a cleaner more comfortable and more welcoming hotel no matter what price you pay. The staff are most helpful
