Travelodge say that this hotel is on Princes Street and some of the rooms actually are! I chose this hotel for it's location. I usually pay about £25 per night for a Travelodge, so having paid over £400 for a three night stay, my expectations were high. This booking was made and paid for in full in April for a... More

Just returned form a couple of days in Edinburgh to see the Tattoo. Stayed at this travelodge. Very well positioned in Princes street, just a minute from the airlink drop of on Waverly bridge. We stayed in a family room which was huge and immaculately clean. The room had a fantastic view of the Castle and Scots Monument and although... More

Low cost but clean and totally ok. Well located very central. Nothing unusual to say about it because it does what you expect and want, cheap by Edinburgh standards clean comfortable, hot shower, no problem.

I was put off at first with the entrance which was down a rather unsafe looking alley, however once we entered we were greeted at Reception by Anne who couldn't have been more welcoming. She provided extra keys for the girls in our group without branding as a precautionary safety measure and gave us a run down of what's on... More

Hotel is down a side alley with commercial bins lined up across the alleyway which didn't look too good. However greeted by Anne at reception who was very friendly and profesional. Clean room nice bed

We stayed in a triple room...very spacious and spotlessly clean with a fab view of the city! Anne on reception was a legend and really helpful. Fabulous location...would definitely stay again for business or leisure!

First experience of a Travelodge and we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly, the hotel was very central and easy to find, the room was spotless, with everything we needed. The whole place was very quiet and we got a great night's sleep. Can recommend 100%.

Ideally situated for the city centre. Not suitable to get to by car, no parking nearby. Difficult to get to by car due to one way systems. Ideal for the train station, buses or trams. Cost was high, £186 for 1 night which is an example of profiteering on nearby events.

A very clean hotel, central to Edinburgh being within walking distance of the train station. Hotel stay only marred by the very narrow single beds in a disabled room, making it a bit dodgy trying to turn overi in the night. Staff very friendly. Lots of night-time noise from tourists and workers (road cleaners, etc), but problem solved with closing... More

Had a very poor nights sleep in a hot stuffy room, as our bedroom overlooked the pubs in the street below and therefore suffered a lot of noisy revellers drinking into the early hours, then disturbed again by early morning singers approx 8am. It's possibly not always that bad as we did visit the weekend of the Tattoo - but... More
