Having just spent two nights would like to say that I will definitely book this lodge again. Slightly further to walk from princess street travel lodge but very good position for middle of Princes street . The room was adequate clean and quiet just exactly what you need to come back to when you have had a hard day sightseeing... More

This hotel has been refurbed in the new travelodge decor. The bed was comfy, room and bathroom clean and everything worked. As with any travelodge it is basic but since we were only using it to sleep and shower in, as we were out being touristy in Edinburgh the rest of the time, it didn't make any difference. The staff... This hotel is cheap, clean and perfectly situated for city centre attractions. Would definitely recommend if dining at Restaurant Mark Greenaway as location is perfect. Also very close to bus station and other bars, restaurants and shops. Would definitely go back.

It's cheap, the rooms are OK and it's well located opposite Queen Street Gardens BUT... Some rooms face onto a side street lined with dustbins. From around 5.30am onwards you will be subjected to a cacophany of noise as these are emptied, including the ones containing bottles. You'd have to be practically dead to sleep through that lot. Otherwise, you'll... More

Queen Street is very close to Edinburgh main centre. There is no parking outside and we were right next to the main road-why aren't there reductions for such rooms! Lovely building but poor wifi connection, even after paying...lovly comfy bed and great staff

There are now 3 central Travelodges in Edinburgh - this one having fairly recently opened. Walking from Waverley Station it seems a little further that the others, but still nicely central and walkable. Being new it's clean, tidy and well put-together. Expectedly small, the rooms are perfectly standard for a Travelodge with just a shower in the bathroom. Really, for... More

Wes stayed for only one night and so this was good for us. Central and VERY close to George street for Restaurants and only 5 mins from princess street on foot. Parking is about a 10-15 min walk but £15 for 24 hours wasn't too bad. (James square next to john lewis). Clean and basic but one for a cheap... More

This hotel is ideally located in the centre of the town and the accomodation is comfortable and clean and quiet. However, this was a bed and breakfast hotel but the breakfast was a box containing a small orange juice, a muffin, a fruit bar and a yoghurt. Not quite the breakfast I was expecting and hence the overall rating of... More

hotel is 10 minutes walk from train station, five minutes from shops. Lots of bars and restaurants around the hotel which is quieter than the grass market. A really nice travelodge in an old building. Staff were very helpful as we got there early and although paid for early check in they let us in our room even earlier to... More
